Service Manager – Children in Care and Care Leavers (Future Directions)
Responsible for: Children in Care Teams x 2 and Future Directions Teams x 2
We are looking for an individual with strong leadership skills to lead and motivate staff, you will have strategic planning skills to drive forward services and a passion for improving the lives of children in the care system and care experienced young adults.&nbsp; You will always question ‘would this be good enough for my child’. &nbsp;The post holder will be solution focused and have significant experience of working in a children in care / care leaver service in a management capacity, including with senior leaders and multi-disciplinary partner agencies.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Other key responsibilities include managing staff, overseeing budgets, performance management, ensuring quality of care in all forms of homes for children and overseeing the day to day running of the two service area’s ensuring it meets and exceeds national standards.&nbsp; If you are committed to the highest standards of Social Work practice in supporting our managers and social workers to achieve the best outcomes for children, young adults and families we want to hear from you.&nbsp;

Your role in our journey
As a Telecare Responder within Assistive Living Technologies you’ll be an important part of the nationally accredited team that provides a 24/7 Monitoring Centre, Response and Installation Team.
You will provide round-the-clock support to vulnerable service users ensuring they get the help they need as soon as possible for example, after a fall. You will respond to vulnerable service users in Barnsley and work in partnership with stakeholders with a common goal to promote the independence of vulnerable adults.
What you’ll need
To join us, you’ll need a relevant Level 2 qualification in Health &amp; Social Care,&nbsp;experience in a customer focused environment with&nbsp;excellent communication skills and&nbsp;knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable adults.

An exciting opportunity has arose to join our Brokerage Team as a Brokerage Officer.
As a Brokerage Officer you will&nbsp;&nbsp;effectively broker support packages on behalf of individuals assessed as having an eligible need for support. The postholder will be responsible for liaising with a range of care providers to secure appropriate packages of care, and will organise innovative, value for money services, co-ordinating appropriate services to meet desired outcomes, which promote strengths-based practice. The postholder will also be responsible for accurately recording care provisions on our case management system.
You will accurately provision services on the Adult Social Care system in a timely manner, ensuring records reflect the type and cost of support and include any relevant income markers to support the councils financial planning and ensure care providers are paid for services delivered.&nbsp;&nbsp;Referrals will include support for home care, residential / Nursing care, respite provision, specialist residential accommodation, Supported Living, Shared Lives and any other appropriate services.
You will operate in accordance with all statutory frameworks and Care Acts, Caldicott Principles, relevant social care legislation and procedures as well as council policies, procedures and frameworks.
