Respond promptly to incidents, ensuring accurate logging and timely communication with internal and external partners</li><li>Operational Duties: work flexibly on a 24/7/365 shift rota, including weekends and Bank Holidays. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and corporate risk assessments, whether working independently or as part of a team. Maintain system integrity and security through adherence to legislation such as GDPR, RIPA, and internal protocols</li><li>Collaboration &amp; Communication: Build strong relationships across City Watch departments and external agencies to support crime prevention initiatives, safe working practices, and council objectives. Provide clear and timely information to aid incident response and reporting</li><li>Legal &amp; Administrative Support: prepare statements, attend court as a witness when required, and maintain accurate records using electronic systems. Support management with feedback and reporting, and assist with low-level queries and customer interactions</li><li>Knowledge &amp; Development: maintain a working knowledge of Liverpool’s geography, transport network, and camera locations. Engage in ongoing training and development to ensure compliance with current procedures and legislation. You will work as part of a 24/7 shift rota in the CCTV Control Room.
This includes:
<ul>
<li>Monitoring screens for the prevention and detection of crime;</li>
<li>Supporting the police via police radio communication;</li>
<li>Supporting Council staff and businesses through radio systems and responding to out-of-hours emergency calls on behalf of the Council.</li>
</ul>
You will provide proactive on-street surveillance using control room technology to prevent crime, disorder, and anti-social behaviour in the Borough. This involves communicating tasking requests to frontline officers and out of hours services, and recording all calls and taskings on CRM.
You will assist in reviewing CCTV digital material, issuing copies and statements for court, and acting as a Disclosure Officer.
Good communication and customer service skills are essential for handling difficult calls and managing sensitive situations.
Shift rota: The team works on a rolling pattern covering 365 days, including early, late, and night shifts, as well as weekends and bank holidays.

<h2>About the job</h2><h2>Purpose of the job:</h2>To ensure the safe and smooth transition of passengers, staff and airport users whilst maintaining the highest level of customer service and satisfaction at all times.<h2>Training:</h2>To prepare you for taking on the role, you’ll undergo a&nbsp;six-week&nbsp;training period. The&nbsp;six weeks&nbsp;are on a 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday schedule, based at the terminal at the airport. This will consist of both classroom and operational training.<h2>About you</h2><h2>Eligibility criteria:</h2>You must be able to read, write and speak fluent English, whilst additional language skills are desirable but not compulsory. Our Security Officers are required by legislation to have full-colour vision and the capability to appropriately perform a range of duties. It’s also important that you are physically fit as the role will require you to spend periods of time sitting, standing, bending and walking. The minimum age requirement is 18 due to clearance legislation.You will also be required to pass through a range of referencing and vetting checks, including a Criminal Record Check and Counter Terrorism Check.
