About the Role:
As Clerk of Works, you will support the Project Manager and be responsible for providing comprehensive support across all areas of programme delivery, liaising with tenants, leaseholders, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Overview of the role:

<li>Act as the main point of contact for tenants, build strong relationships with contractors and internal teams, and attend meetings to discuss progress of works.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records and documentation for all capital projects in line with council policies.</li>

The Environment and Energy unit is responsible for the policies and programmes related to the Mayor’s ambitions around the natural environment, climate adaptation and his net zero 2030 target.&nbsp;
The Programme Management Coordination team is a cross-cutting team at the heart of the Unit, providing leadership on governance, finance, business coordination, communications, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring and evaluation activities for the Unit. Working closely with the Principal Evaluation Officer and Head of Programme Management Coordination, you will establish a hub of programme and project management expertise for the Unit, providing guidance and implementation support to delivery teams, aligned with GLA’s Portfolio Management Framework.
<h2>About the role</h2>
This role will play a central part in embedding strong programme and project management practices across the Environment and Energy Unit. You will be responsible for supporting the Unit to implement the GLA’s Portfolio Management Framework across the project lifecycle, from initiation through to delivery and closure. You will coordinate programme-level activities such as quarterly reporting, risk register management, and lessons learned reviews, and will work closely with delivery leads to embed standardised, governance and management processes.
You will also lead the mobilisation and business-as-usual implementation of Asana as the Unit’s project management tool. Good Growth is responsible for delivering and implementing the Mayor’s environment, transport and economic strategies and for the effective implementation of the London Plan. About the team
The Environment and Energy unit is responsible for the policies and programmes related to the Mayor’s ambitions around the natural environment, climate adaptation and his net zero 2030 target. The 25-strong Energy team sits within this unit.
The Energy team leads on the Mayor’s manifesto commitments on domestic retrofit (through the newly established Warmer Homes London) and the Greener Schools pilot. It is also responsible for our work around London Power, community energy and supporting a strong decarbonisation pipeline across London through the Mayor’s Zero Carbon Accelerator.
About the role
This senior role will play a pivotal part in the Mayor’s ambitions towards net zero. The Head of Energy leads an expert team of around 25 people working across a number of complex energy projects. The postholder will need to support the team through periods of uncertainty and change, whilst leading a high-performing and inclusive culture.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The Head of Energy will need to demonstrate strong strategic leadership and programme delivery skills across a range of energy projects. This includes overseeing delivery of the Warm Homes Local Grant capital funding programme and supporting the newly-established Warmer Homes London office. It also includes continued delivery of the Greener Schools pilot, clean power procurement within the GLA Group, community energy and work to develop a pipeline of net zero projects through the Zero Carbon Accelerator.
The Head of Energy is a Programme Director for three Mayoral programmes of work (‘Reducing Non-Residential Emissions’, ‘Improving London’s Housing Stock’ and ‘Upgrading London’s Infrastructure’). This involves supporting the SROs for these programmes to ensure delivery of key outputs, identification and mitigation of risks, and careful management of budgets to maximise delivery and ensure value for money.&nbsp;
The postholder will need to develop strong working relationships with the Deputy Mayor and the wider Mayor’s Office, supporting their decision-making and ensuring team resources are focused on priorities. In addition, effective partnership working with London Councils, London boroughs and functional bodies across the GLA Group will be key to successful delivery.
On behalf of the GLA, the Head of Energy will play a critical leadership role for London’s climate sector in reducing our city’s carbon emissions by retrofitting homes and schools, switching to cleaner forms of power, and developing a strong pipeline of net zero projects.

What we are looking for:

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Employment Lawyer to join the Comptroller and City Solicitor’s Department at the City of London Corporation. This is a pivotal role that supports the delivery of high-quality legal services across a wide range of employment matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
