Your role in our journey
We are seeking a highly committed and motivated individual to join our team in the role of Projects Officer. The successful candidate will be highly organised and have the skills and experience to enable them to monitor the project and individual settings, updating plans and responding to DfE requests They must be a good communicator who is able to travel across the borough to visit settings to check on progress.
What you’ll need
As well as a level 3 qualification you will need experience of working in a relevant field along with&nbsp;excellent communication and organisational skills.

Pathways to Work has been selected as a Trailblazer initiative in the UK Government’s Get Britain Working White Paper. Working alongside the other South Yorkshire local authorities and the Mayoral Combined Authority the proposal sets out a strategy to enhance access for Barnsley’s economically inactive residents to high-quality, sustainable employment. This approach is guided by the findings of the Barnsley-led Pathways to Work Commission. The delivery plan aims to support 10,000 South Yorkshire residents into work over the next four years. This approach will deliver personalised support to 2,200 people in Barnsley, so they can overcome barriers that prevent them from working, while improving their skills and employability.

As a Projects and Contracts Officer for the Contract, Compliance and Funding Service you will ensure that our programmes, services, and contracts are fully compliant and that they demonstrate impact against specified outcomes and audit functions. You will do this effectively by producing reports through a range of management information systems and tools. You must have an eye for detail and the knowledge and experience of compliance, auditing, data management and reporting. You will also have a key role in supporting the operational functions of the Employment and Skills Service.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;

An&nbsp;exciting&nbsp;opportunity has arisen within Barnsley Museums to lead our Commercial Development Team.
This is a pivotal role within the service, shaping the embedding commerciality with colleagues and supporting a positive visitor experience across our heritage sites as a whole.
The successful candidate will&nbsp;be challenged drive&nbsp;income generation and meet annual targets for the service through the effective delivery and growth of&nbsp;a range of&nbsp;activities and initiatives:
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Management and development of the retail offer across five site specific locations.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Delivery and development of commercial events and activity programmes varying size and scale across key sites.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Support the development of tenancy mix and ensure site occupancy policies are maintained and managed across sites.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Support targeted fundraising for the service.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Reimagine the current wedding and functions offer across sites.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within the field, leadership skills to manage a dedicated team and&nbsp;be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
The&nbsp;role&nbsp;requires&nbsp;the post holder to use their own initiative and&nbsp;demonstrate&nbsp;strong communication&nbsp;skills&nbsp;with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
