The role requires you to supervise the Passenger Assistants (PAs) who support our passengers during their journeys based at your depot.Transport can be undertaken by contractors in taxis/minibuses or by the County Council's internal team directly. These journeys are supported during school terms and the team consists of approximately 60 PAs. These PAs are there to act as chaperones and have basic first aid training and you will be responsible be recruiting and training them.The focus of this role is to ensure that PAs are allocated to the appropriate resource daily. You will need to proactively plan and allocate the PAs accordingly to ensure we can deliver our statutory services.You make a real difference to children and families with a strong sense of public service. About the role:
Horsham District Council is looking for a Learning and Development Adviser to join our Human Resources and Organisational Development team to support and respond to the learning and development needs of the Council’s workforce and Elected Members. You will co-ordinate and deliver training across all levels of the organisation to ensure that staff have the knowledge, understanding, skills and motivation to carry out their roles effectively, while also supporting their development so they can fulfil their potential and contribute fully to the Council’s corporate objectives.
As Learning &amp; Development Adviser you will design, develop and deliver a wide range of training and development programmes, including workplace soft skills, wellbeing and Equality, Diversity &amp; Inclusion training. You will work closely with the Head of HR &amp; OD and managers across the Council to identify learning and development needs, support the use of apprenticeships and professional qualifications, and promote a strong learning and development culture. You will also maintain the Council’s Learning Management System, keep accurate training records, evaluate the impact of learning activity, and help commission and manage external training providers where appropriate. Hybrid working will be in line with departmental arrangements.
About you:
To succeed as Learning and Development Adviser, you will be someone with a sound understanding of the principles of adult learning and the training cycle, with experience of designing and delivering learning using a variety of methods. You will be confident building relationships, communicating and presenting to a wide range of stakeholders, and able to work effectively as part of a team. You will also have an understanding of apprenticeships and the apprenticeship levy, be highly organised, able to manage and prioritise your workload, and demonstrate a flexible, customer-focused approach. Experience of learning needs analysis, e-learning design, or holding (or working toward) a CIPD or similar qualification would be an advantage.

This role provides support for core curatorial work for the Museum service, ensuring professional collections standards are met.
The Assistant Museum Manager will help people to understand their heritage through engaging with the collection, so that they can develop a sense of belonging and pride, and increase access to heritage through effective collections management and innovative programmes of exhibitions, outreach, and digital development.
A successful Heritage Lottery Fund grant was awarded in 2018 for the development of a new home for the Museum. The old building closed to the public in February 2019 and the new premises opened to the public on 1 November 2019. The new space, at the Samuel Wickens Centre, is much better suited to showing the history of Rustington in a cohesive format and includes visitor experiences, such as an oral history bank and interactive stations. A temporary exhibition area allows a changing programme of events and a space to hold family activities and host talks for visiting community groups during the day.&nbsp;
The Museum shares the building with a Community Hall and the Information Centre in the heart of the Village.&nbsp;
The postholder will support the delivery and growth of engagement with new and existing audiences.
They will support the Museum Manager with cataloguing, care, research and interpretation of the Museum’s Collection and will be involved in all aspects of curatorial work.
The post holder will work in close collaboration with the Rustington Heritage Association and a variety of external stakeholders and partners.
