Egerton Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive and hard-working EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team of staff.
BASIC JOB PURPOSE&nbsp;&nbsp;
To support the teaching staff in the development and education of pupils in accordance with the aims and policies of the school.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Assist teaching staff in the delivery of learning activities and work programmes and undertake predetermined activities with pupils so that their intellectual and social development (including self-reliance and self-esteem) is fostered.</li>
<li>Provide input into the planning and evaluation of learning activities for individuals and groups of pupils to enable the teaching staff to make informed decisions when developing their plans.</li>
<li>Supervise the activities of a class, individuals or groups of pupils both in and out of the classroom (including educational visits) to ensure their safety and facilitate their physical and emotional development in accordance with the school's behaviour management policy.</li>
<li>Monitor individual pupil’s progress, achievements and development and report these to the teaching staff/line manager to inform decisions taken regarding the Individual Education Plan, Behaviour Plans and Personal Care Programmes for a pupil.</li>
<li>Liaise with parents and carers in conjunction with the teaching staff to ensure effective communication concerning the pupils' well-being.</li>
<li>Record pupil information, as specified by the teaching staff/line manager to ensure the schools information systems are maintained.</li>
<li>Attend to the personal, social and physical needs of pupils so that their well-being is maintained.</li>
<li>Prepare and maintain learning equipment and ensure that the classroom is kept clean and tidy.</li>
<li>Display and present the pupils' work, under the direction of teaching staff, so that it enhances the classroom environment and celebrates achievement.</li>
<li>Attend staff and other meetings and participate in staff training development work and staff reviews as required.</li>
</ul>
This is a temporary role until 31/8/26.
Hours: 25 hours per week&nbsp;
Weeks: 39 weeks per year
Actual salary based on hours worked: £14,915

Teaching Assistant with Special Needs - AAAD5027 - Grade: 4 - £25,583 - £25,989 pro rata per annum (30 hours per week) - Primary Schools – Vine Tree Primary School
The governing body of this, vibrant and successful primary school is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced teaching assistant to support a child with special education needs on a one-to-one basis in Reception. The post is for 30 hours per week, 8.45am – 3:15pm.
The successful candidate will join a committed, professional and hardworking team who put the needs of our children first.&nbsp;
As a&nbsp;Special Needs Teaching Assistant,&nbsp;you will:
<ul>
<li>Have previous experience of working with SEND pupils.</li>
<li>Have experience using&nbsp;MAKATON</li>
<li>Be proactive and work well in a team.</li>
<li>Have experience working with children with complex needs</li>
<li>Have experience working with children with Downs Syndrome</li>
<li>Be prepared to help with personal care.</li>
<li>Be able to communicate effectively with the children and other staff members</li>
<li>Work on a 1 to 1 basis with a child.</li>
<li>Report on individual pupil’s progress</li>
<li>Be a positive role model and support with all aspects of self-esteem.</li>
<li>Be supporting a child with a wide range of&nbsp;learning and&nbsp;communication needs</li>
<li>Have experience carrying out specific interventions to aid learning and communication.</li>
