The Children, young people and families Directorate within Blaenau Gwent are looking to recruit 3 x Cleaning Operatives on a permanent basis one at Rhosyfedwen Primary for 14.5 hours per week 41 weeks of the year and 2 posts at Ebbw Fawr Secondary one 15 hours per week and one 10 hour per week 41 weeks of the year to undertake cleaning duties in establishments within the borough.

The successful candidates will clean any designated area to a set standard by use of chemicals, equipment and machinery. The successful candidates will also maintain their cupboard, equipment and machinery by cleaning and ensuring correct storage after use.&nbsp; You will also place orders when replacement chemicals and equipment are required.
The successful candidates should be able to work as part of a team, have the ability to use their own initiative and be willing to undertake any training considered necessary for the position.
COSHH and basic Health and Safety plus experience is desirable.

The successful candidate will undertake the full range of Cook’s duties in their absence to include all administrative duties and procedures.&nbsp; The purpose of the role is to provide the catering service at various sites throughout the Authority, you will supervise others in the workplace by working within the guidelines set out by Blaenau Gwent Catering to ensure the correct performance standards are achieved.
The postholder may be asked to cover long or short-term absences within Blaenau Gwent School Meals Service.

The Youth Club Leader will provide support, guidance, and mentoring to young people aged 11-24 who attend one of Blaenau Gwent Youth Service's Youth Club provisions. In addition to leading a small team of youth workers within the Youth Club setting, I ensure all outcomes are met.
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has opened for an enthusiastic individual to join the authority’s youth service team and help provide a range of activities, mentor, support, and provide information and guidance to young people attending an open-access youth club provision.
As a Youth Club Leader, you will provide leadership to a small team of staff, undertake supervision and lead them to meet all outcomes and work programmes. The Leader will also be responsible for planning and delivering a full programme of activity for young people, taking into account their needs.
You will develop strong links with the other youth clubs and the surrounding community in order to help meet the needs of the young person and community, to provide a comprehensive and holistic programme of work, whilst also addressing barriers some young people may face.
The role requires a minimum of a level 3 qualification in Youth and Community Work and EWC registration under the category of Youth Support Worker or&nbsp;Working towards, or a willingness to achieve the level 3 qualification in Youth and Community Work and EWC registration within a reasonable timeframe following appointment. (Please note that if you already hold a qualification listed within EWC guidance, you have to have a valid EWC registration before commencing in post.)
Required skills include.
