DFG Project Manager
Scale 7 £43,693 - &nbsp;£46,731 per annum
37 hours per week
Fixed Term or Secondment Opportunity until 31 March 2026 with the possibility of extension beyond this date.
We’re looking for a forward-thinking and results-driven DFG Project Manager&nbsp;to lead a vital transformation project within the award-winning Lightbulb programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver a new, streamlined approach to Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) delivery across Leicestershire. You’ll be at the forefront of designing, coordinating and embedding changes that ensure services are person-centred, preventative, and responsive to the needs of our most vulnerable residents.
As DFG Project Manager, you will:
<ul>
<li>Lead the review and redesign of DFG delivery processes across multiple councils and partner organisations.</li>
<li>Develop and manage a robust project plan, producing reports, presenting to stakeholders, and engaging partners throughout.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to improve integration and reduce duplication and delays.</li>
<li>Gather feedback from service users and communities to shape a new, more efficient and accessible customer journey.</li>
<li>Monitor risk, maintain delivery schedules and ensure the project meets Lightbulb’s vision for health and housing integration.</li>
</ul>
We are looking for someone who:
<ul>
<li>Has experience in managing multi-agency projects that support residents or improve public service delivery.</li>
<li>Possesses strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.</li>
<li>Can confidently lead change and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Is highly analytical, detail-focused, and driven by continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Can work independently and bring fresh ideas to complex service challenges.</li>
</ul>
A knowledge of social care, housing adaptations, or supporting vulnerable residents is advantageous, but not essential.

<h3>About the Role……</h3>
As a Senior Business Intelligence Officer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and business intelligence solutions that improve data accessibility and usability across the organisation. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to understand data requirements, provide insights, and support service improvements through innovative data visualisation and analytics.
Key responsibilities include:

Developing and maintaining Power BI solutions in line with the council’s business intelligence strategy.</li>
<li>
Working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide expert advice on BI best practices.</li>
<li>
Analysing and interpreting large datasets to produce insightful reports and dashboards.</li>

Ensuring data quality and governance, supporting statutory reporting requirements.</li>
<li>
Exploring opportunities for automation and process improvements using Microsoft 365 Power Platform tools.</li>
</ul>
<h3>About You……</h3>
We are looking for a candidate who has:
<ul>
<li>
Proven experience in developing end-to-end Power BI solutions, including data modelling and DAX calculations.</li>
<li>
Strong SQL skills, with knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting tools such as SSRS.</li>
<li>
A keen eye for data visualisation, ensuring reports and dashboards are clear, accessible, and informative.</li>
<li>
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into effective BI solutions.</li>
<li>
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and explain technical concepts in plain language.</li>
</ul>
A degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
