Role Overview 
Charnwood Borough Council’s Housing Repairs team are looking for a qualified Joiner Multi Skill, to carry out a wide range of Joinery repairs associated with the maintenance and adaptation of social housing, Council properties and public buildings.
The role is permanent and will include participation in the out-of-hours call-out service.&nbsp; A full clean driving licence is essential, and a van is supplied for Charnwood business use only.&nbsp; Tools and uniform are also provided.

What will you be doing? As a Gas Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and functionality of gas installations and maintenance across the Council’s housing stock and corporate properties.Working independently or as part of a team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality gas services in compliance with regulations and safety standards. Key responsibilities include:<ul>
<li>Carry out gas maintenance and repair works as specified in work orders.</li>
<li>Undertake gas installation and maintenance tasks within your designated area, ensuring all work aligns with current Risk Assessments &amp; Method Statements (RAMS)&nbsp;and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).</li>
<li>Maintain the necessary qualifications, training, and industry registration&nbsp;to ensure compliance and competency.</li>
<li>Use mobile devices&nbsp;to complete reports, certifications, order materials, and request follow-up work.</li>

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver a new, streamlined approach to Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) delivery across Leicestershire. You’ll be at the forefront of designing, coordinating and embedding changes that ensure services are person-centred, preventative, and responsive to the needs of our most vulnerable residents.
As DFG Project Manager, you will:

<h3>About the Role……</h3>
As a Senior Business Intelligence Officer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and business intelligence solutions that improve data accessibility and usability across the organisation. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to understand data requirements, provide insights, and support service improvements through innovative data visualisation and analytics.
Key responsibilities include:
<ul>

Developing and maintaining Power BI solutions in line with the council’s business intelligence strategy.</li>
<li>
Working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide expert advice on BI best practices.</li>
<li>
Analysing and interpreting large datasets to produce insightful reports and dashboards.</li>
<li>
Ensuring data quality and governance, supporting statutory reporting requirements.</li>
<li>
Exploring opportunities for automation and process improvements using Microsoft 365 Power Platform tools.</li>
</ul>
<h3>About You……</h3>
We are looking for a candidate who has:
<ul>
<li>
Proven experience in developing end-to-end Power BI solutions, including data modelling and DAX calculations.</li>
<li>
Strong SQL skills, with knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting tools such as SSRS.</li>
<li>
A keen eye for data visualisation, ensuring reports and dashboards are clear, accessible, and informative.</li>
<li>
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into effective BI solutions.</li>
<li>
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and explain technical concepts in plain language.</li>
</ul>
A degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
