The Opportunity&nbsp;
Reporting to the Principal Officer - Investment, this is a key role in the successful management of the Housing Stock data of over 5700 properties.&nbsp; You will be responsible for the surveying, collation and management of the stock data as well as the analysis of the data to assist in the planning and implementation of the capital works programmes.
The role requires a detailed knowledge of building construction methods and materials backed up with a formal qualification, the ability to identify and diagnose defects and arrive at appropriate solutions as well as experience of undertaking stock condition surveys.
You must also be able to work with stock data and systems, managing data and assisting in the creation of programmes for future capital works programmes to ensure continued compliance with DHS and other statutory requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the Asset Team which focuses in delivering panned works programmes ensuring an excellent service to our customers.
Key Tasks&nbsp;

<li>Collation analysis and effective use of stock condition information from a range of surveys on all property assets including occupied dwellings, void dwellings, commercial buildings, garages, communal areas and public spaces.</li>
<li>Carrying out stock condition and related surveys - including Housing Health &amp; Safety Rating System (HHSRS) surveys.</li>
<li>Contribution to the development of comprehensive and accurate stock condition information to support short, and long-term asset management planning.</li>
<li>Ensuring results of surveys are accurately recorded in the asset management system, in a timely manner, using hand-held data capture equipment.</li>
<li>Effective organisational, planning and report writing skills.</li>
<li>Full and clean driving licence with access to a vehicle to undertake site visits.</li>
<li>Delivery of an effective and appropriate service to all service users, fairly and without discrimination.</li>
</ul>
Our ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, be computer literate, work well within a team of like-minded individuals.&nbsp;&nbsp;

About the role

Our Housing Advice and Enabling Team support customers to find solutions for their housing issues by providing housing and financial advice and support, liaising with landlords and developing personalised housing plans with a firm focus on the prevention of homelessness.
As a Trainee Homelessness and Prevention Officer you’ll be developing over a 24-month period to become a Homelessness Prevention officer. You’ll be gaining key knowledge on homelessness legislation and the delivering of the service, with a combination of internal, external and on the job training.
While training you’ll be supporting the team in their key activities of –

<li>Outreach work with those who are rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping, in hospital and require support to return home.</li>
<li>Providing housing options, advice and guidance to those who are homeless or threatened with homelessness with the aim to assist with prevention of homelessness at the earliest possible stage.</li>
<li>Administering applications from residents approaching the Council as homeless or threatened with homelessness.</li>
<li>The provision of temporary accommodation including the provision of private sector leased accommodation.</li>
<li>Determining applications to join the Council’s Housing Waiting List</li>
</ul>

About you 
You’ll have an interest in working with members of the community to prevent and reduce homelessness, with an understanding of the issues facing customers in the current housing climate.
An enthusiasm and drive to learn new things will be key as you’ll be constantly training, developing your knowledge, learning new things and gaining new experiences. This role could be great for a recent graduate or a career-changer alike.
You’ll need a good understanding of the importance of confidentiality, safe practice, safeguarding, anti-discriminatory practice and equal opportunity alongside experience of providing a high standard of customer service to clients who demonstrate a range of challenging behaviours.

Landlord Services are looking for a full-time business support assistant to provide administrative support to the housing management teams.

About the role 

This is a great role for someone who loves working with the wider community and a diverse range of people to help them get the best from their living environment, supporting the delivery of our ambitious housing retrofit programmes under the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund Wave 3 project.
As our Retrofit and Engagement Coordinator, you’ll be directly engaging with residents, both Council tenants and private homeowners / renters, building strong relationships with them and ensuring they’re informed about upcoming and ongoing retrofit projects.
You’ll also be liaising with Council staff, external surveyors, contractors, agencies, and residents to deliver high quality customer care and resident engagement during and after housing retrofit projects, keeping residents updated with appointment dates and addressing any concerns they may have throughout the retrofit process.
This is a two-year fixed term contract offering the opportunity to work at the forefront of sustainable housing development.

Some knowledge of construction would be beneficial or an aptitude for it to help you be able to explain plans and projects to the relevant community members - we can help you develop knowledge specific to our retrofitting project.
A good level of administrative ability is also needed alongside organisational and creative skills.

About the Role: As Corporate Support Team Leader, you will:
<ul>
<li>Lead and manage the Corporate Management Team Support staff, providing high-level personal support to the Chief Executive and senior leaders.</li>
<li>Act as Deputy to the manager, supporting compliance with UK GDPR, Freedom of Information, and records management.</li>
<li>Oversee diary and email management, meeting support, travel arrangements, and correspondence drafting.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain systems for accurate recording, secure storage, and appropriate retention of council data and information.</li>
<li>Manage team performance, conduct appraisals, identify training needs, and ensure seamless service delivery.</li>
<li>Liaise with councillors, MPs, external partners, and internal teams, handling sensitive and confidential information with tact and diplomacy.</li>
</ul>
About You: You will have:
<ul>
<li>Experience providing executive support at a senior level within a complex organisation, ideally in local government.</li>
<li>Line management experience, with a track record of motivating and developing staff.</li>
<li>Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>An understanding of information governance, data protection, and compliance requirements.</li>
</ul>

As a member of the Customer Services Team, dealing with a range of enquiries about Council services, you will play a key role within the team in providing excellent customer service to our customers. Our Customer Services Team provides the important front line “one stop” service through various channels of communication such as contact centre telephony, meeting with customers through pre-booked appointments, engaging with customers through website/webchats, emails and social media.

This post is based primarily at The Symington Building in Market Harborough.&nbsp; The Council operates an agile working policy, which will enable the advisors to work from home from time to time, dependent on the needs of the business.
Your hours of work are part-time 27 hours per week on a pre agreed rota basis to meet the needs of the business. Rotas are subject to review and can be varied with reasonable notice. The service operates Monday to Friday.

You will be responsible for developing strategic relationships locally and nationally, securing external funding, and influencing policy to support Rutland’s journey to Carbon Net Zero. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact in one of England’s most distinctive counties.
