Our Waste Services Team delivers one of the most essential services our residents rely on every single day — ensuring that household waste is collected, treated, recycled and disposed of safely and efficiently.We provide domestic, recycling and garden waste collections to more than 126,000 households across the city, completing over 9 million collections each year. The Streetpride Service is Coventry City Council's Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance Service. &nbsp;It has a responsibility and statutory duty to keep the City Clean, Green and attractive for all.Keeping the City clean and green is a huge challenge and not one we can do on our own. &nbsp;The service is delivered by a flexible, locally committed workforce who work well with the different residents, communities and partner,s ensuring a One Coventry approach by enabling people to do more for themselves.The service operates out of three strategically located sites in the City and provides a cleansing service seven days a week, 52 weeks a year.We currently clean 10’000 miles of road network each year and empty over 3’000 street litter bins each week.The service is also responsible for delivering the Grounds Maintenance works across all our Parks and Open Spaces, including our 5 Green Flag Parks and cuts approximately 6 million square metres of grass every 20 working days. About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our Street Cleansing Services team. As a Street Cleansing Operative, you will help maintain clean and safe public spaces across the Borough of Rugby by performing a range of cleansing duties in accordance with Council specifications.
Key Responsibilities

<li>Cleanse designated areas of the Borough as directed by the Street Cleansing Contract Officer.</li>
<li>Carry out tasks such as litter picking, fly-tip removal, emptying and maintaining litter bins, street sweeping, and collection of bulky or clinical waste.</li>
