Its Camden’s answer to government spending cuts and enables us to continue to invest in our community despite massive cuts in central government funding. </span></p> <p><span>We have recently increased our ambitious targets to deliver over 4,850 homes built through the CIP including 1,800 social rent homes, 350 Camden Living intermediate rent homes as well as new temporary accommodation and hostel beds for people experiencing homelessness. This will require diversifying our models of delivery – both to accelerate and broaden our impact, but also to ensure we are delivering for communities whilst managing financial risk to the Council. </span></p> <p><span>We are now looking to recruit to two new Team Leader posts to lead two important pipeline schemes: </span></p> <p><span><strong>Camley Street </strong></span></p> <p><span>The approved business case for this project will regenerate a predominantly industrial site close to Kings Cross to provide at least 350 additional new homes and 20,000 m2 of new and replacement employment space. The primary function of the job is to manage the Council’s Planning Enforcement and trees team and to assist the Head of Planning in the delivery of the wider service.</p>\n<p>The team is currently fully staffed with permanent team members, and comprises of 4 Enforcement Officers and a tree officer.</p>\n<p>We’re looking for an experienced planning professional who has the knowledge and interest to carry out this key specialist role. The ideal candidate would have practical experience of complex enforcement and some management or supervision experience, though we are keen to hear from candidates with a wide range of planning experience. In particular we need someone with strong communication and negotiation skills and a customer focused approach.</p>\n<p><strong>About You</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate should be an effective manager of people and resources as well as a good negotiator. You’ll lead on complex and interesting cases while managing an experienced and well skilled team.</p>\n<p>Personal qualities are just as important as professional skills.
