We are currently seeking a Site Maintenance Officer to join our dedicated team, supporting the upkeep and smooth operation of our school sites across Warwickshire.
Reporting to the School Site Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the school buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Your primary base will be at our new location for Arc Oakbridge School in Handsworth, with regular visits to support two other schools in Warwickshire where needed. Flexibility will be required to work occasional unsociable hours to meet operational needs.
Please note that this is a full time, year round position.
What you’ll be doing:

<li>Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance across the site.</li>
<li>Deputise for the Site Manager when required.</li>
<li>Support statutory compliance checks and use the Civica asset management system.</li>

Chelmsford City Council are looking to recruit a qualified HGV Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to work as part of our Operations Services team who maintain the Council's fleet. If you possess a strong mechanical background and want to join a professional and dedicated team, then this could be the job for you!
The role is based at our vehicle workshop at Freighter House. Responsibilities include preparing vehicles for annual testing, performing routine servicing and safety inspections, and carrying out breakdown repairs in accordance with DVSA and Operator Licence requirements. The role also involves MOT testing, roadside assistance, completing detailed service records, and contributing to the safe and clean operation of the workshop environment.
The successful applicant will possess an HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence along with City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Technology Parts 1, 2, and 3 (or equivalent). Applicants should be experienced in assessing and prioritising work to comply with deadlines as well as be confident working individually and as part of the team. Previous experience of working on HGVs is desirable but not essential as training will be provided as appropriate.
 The post holder will be required to work 37 hours a week Monday to Friday. Flexibility is crucial within this role.

Within the role there will be a requirement to make Safety and legal checks in car parks and also be expected to be able to do limited patrols of Council car parks and on street areas covered by parking enforcement. You will be involved with car park marshalling, assisting at events and enforcement of parking restrictions and Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) offences across the whole of North Somerset district. The role also covers placing temporary restrictions in car parks and the highway as required along with ensuring. You will operate as an individual and with other team members and act as a Council ambassador while being consistent and fair, offering help and guidance to the public over a range of topics. You will be expected to have excellent communication skills and be professional at all times particularly when dealing with potential confrontational situations.
