Our Private Sector Housing team seeks to bring about improvements in the conditions and standards of management of private sector housing.
You’ll assist the team in achieving this through the delivery of housing enforcement standards to ensure private sector residential accommodation throughout the District meets statutory standards and help bring about improvements in conditions and standards of management for residents.
As a Private Sector Housing Officer, you’ll be on the frontline of this vital work working with the Senior Private Sector Housing in the enforcement of housing standards through formal action as necessary in line with Housing legislation.

We’re looking for a committed and customer focused individual to join our Private Sector Housing team. You’ll be based at our Sevenoaks offices, but often out and about across the District – working with residents in their homes, liaising with contractors, and helping to ensure housing standards are upheld.
You'll be appointed at Band C (£29,330 – £31,773), with the opportunity to progress to Band D (£34,072 - £36,830) in your second year of employment, subject to gaining sufficient experience and demonstrating the required level of competence.
What you will be doing:

Self Directed Support Coordinator

Street Scene Officer

Medway Adult Education is passionate about supporting adults in Medway to gain skills and qualifications to improve their life chances. The Service offers highly successful part-time courses for adults and apprentices at its centres in Rochester and Gillingham and in several community venues across Medway. The courses are delivered in the daytime and evening with some classes delivered online. Due to increased demand, the Service is currently seeking Supporting Teaching &amp; Learning tutors (Teaching Assistant courses). Successful candidates will have relevant vocational experience and qualifications appropriate to the role. MAE is looking for tutors who are confident in delivering both face-to-face and online. The successful post holder will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Employability Sessional Tutor

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Medway Family Solutions Service as part of the wider Family Solutions agenda for the position of a Family Solutions Practitioner.Family Solutions work holistically with families with multiple and complex needs to enable them to see their strengths and build upon these to make positive changes to their lives. This will be achieved through the Early Help Worker providing both practical and specialist advice to the family as well as acting as a lead co-ordinator for any additional support services. The Early Help Worker will undertake assessments with the family and formulate a plan of intervention with the support of relevant partner agencies which will give the child and their family every opportunity to address the identified difficulties with a positive outcome.
