The SEN team is responsible for carrying out Education Health &amp; Care (EHC) needs assessments, issuing and maintaining EHC plans and coordinating the educational placement of children and young people with SEND. We would like someone who takes responsibility, can work both independently and collaboratively, and within a systemic approach. You will require 2 years’ post-qualification experience as a social worker, preferably within a Fostering team environment, with good investigative and analysis skills. You will also have extensive experience in completing assessments, preferably Kinships assessments, supervision preparation, training, support and review of foster carers offering placements to Children Looked After. Also you’ll possess a sound knowledge of the legislative framework relating to children particularly the Children Act 1989, Fostering Service Regulations 2011, National Minimum Standards and other relevant guidance and standards.&nbsp; Being able to negotiate and have the ability to deal with conflict, hostility and vulnerability is paramount. You will need to also be an expert practitioner, positive about the work and the development of the team and service will succeed in this role.
