Regulatory Services Service Support Officer 

About the rolePurpose of the job To assess and take the requisite action in relation to licensing applications and to undertake compliance and enforcement activities and actions in accordance with law, statutory guidance, codes of practice and policy to ensure the Council meets its statutory obligations. Harborough District Council is seeking an experienced Senior Operator to join our Lifeline Control Centre. If you enjoy working with and supporting vulnerable people, have excellent communication skills, and want to be part of a friendly team, then this role is for you.
The Council’s Lifeline Control Centre provides an emergency telecare alarm system (‘Technology Enabled Care’) that supports vulnerable residents 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.&nbsp; It also receives and manages general enquiries outside of office hours. The lifeline service operates within the Harborough district and also provides the service to a number of local councils and other partners/organisations.
Working during office hours, the role will oversee the day-to-day provision of the Lifeline Service.&nbsp; This includes ensuring Lifeline service remains operational, and procedures are kept up to do date to provide high quality services meeting both customer needs and Council objectives.
Working alongside the Control Centre Manager, you will on a daily basis ensure the service is fully resourced, and the equipment that supports these critical services is maintained and operational.&nbsp; You will undertake marketing opportunities to promote the service to new clients, provide the manager with statistical reports and information to help ensure continued improvement.&nbsp; When needed you will be required to deputise for the Control Centre Manager such as attendance at meetings.
An understanding of information technology and its application in supporting customers, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to solve problems and works under pressure are essential.
Although this role is required to work during office hours, from time to time the successful candidate may be required to work outside normal office hours and act as emergency contact on a rotating basis for which time off in lieu will be given or appropriate overtime payments authorised.

About the roleWe are currently seeking a passionate and highly motivated Leisure Manager to join our busy NN Leisure Active Communities Team. As the post holder you will be developing and managing opportunities across North Northamptonshire for residents to be more active and move more, across all ages and abilities. You will be providing direction, planning and support to the NNC Active Communities team, ensuring that the Active Communities Strategy actions are delivered to encourage more North Northamptonshire residents to participate in physical activity, make positive lifestyle changes and create regular long-term participation to improve their health, mental and physical wellbeing.What will you be doing?Workstreams will include line management of the Active Communities Team and their projects and programmes such as school term time and holiday programmes, sport and activity sessions, events, club development programmes, coaching and leadership schemes, and marketing and monitoring for these programmes. Providing management support to the Wellbeing Walks programme which has various walks across North Northants and over 130 + walk volunteers and the SHAPE Dance programme for all ages and 2 annual shows a year.Be responsible for the co-ordination and development of the local NN Sports Network to provide opportunities for sports clubs to grow and develop by providing advice and support for funding, training and governance.You will work alongside many different partners and foster strong relationships to achieve this, for example with Northamptonshire Sport, NGB’s, Local Clubs, Schools, Community Safety, Police, VCSE groups, local companies, diverse community groups etc.You will ensure that all sessions and programmes comply with health and safety standards and that Safeguarding policies and procedures are robust and adhered to as the safety of all participants and staff will be paramount.About youIn order to be considered for this role you'll have proven experience of managing a successful delivery team in this field, hold a Level 5 or have equivalent experience in management of Sport, Play or Health programmes and at least hold one level 2 NGB coaching/instructing qualification. <li>To work closely with a wide range of professionals in order to support the needs of the child and their family.</li>
<li>To collaborate with colleagues within the Early Years Inclusion Team to guide and support early years practitioners/teachers around early identification and the implementation of the graduated approach.</li>
</ul>
The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.
Please note: the hours are set at 37 per week, though we are willing to offer two part-time positions of 22.5 and 14.5 hours respectively, depending on suitable applicants.
