ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an ambitious CCAB or CIMA part qualified professional to join our Finance Business Partner Team. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner (Support Services), the main responsibilities of the post holder will be to:
• &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide professional and expert accounting and technical service to a range of services including the Council’s Support Services, more specifically Corporate Services, ICT and Business Change &amp; Digital; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide support to the Finance Business Partner (Support Services); • &nbsp; &nbsp;Contribute to budget setting and the production of the annual budget book; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide budget monitoring information to managers; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Contribute to the closure of the accounts by the statutory deadline; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Produce financial information for reports written by officers of the council; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Input into monthly Key Performance Information to the Senior Leadership Team; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Calculating corporate overheads (recharges) for the Support Services.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will:
• &nbsp; &nbsp;be CCAB or CIMA part qualified accountant; • &nbsp; &nbsp;have local government experience; • &nbsp; &nbsp;have a good understanding of council services and experience in providing professional financial advice to budget managers; • &nbsp; &nbsp;have advanced computer skills, the ability to question and analyse data and to present it in a coherent and user friendly format; • &nbsp; &nbsp;be flexible, with a motivated attitude, and the ability to work unsupervised when necessary and have a good working understanding of finance packages.

About the Role
This is a pivotal role within our small, dynamic team, reporting to the Head of Communications and Commercial Services. Key Responsibilities

<li>Coordinate consultancy projects via the LGE Talent Bank – from initial enquiry to delivery and evaluation</li>
<li>Negotiate and manage consultancy agreements, rates, and project terms</li>
<li>Maintain and grow our pool of Talent Bank Associates</li>
<li>Oversee project and client relationship management, ensuring high standards of service</li>
<li>Support commercial reporting, billing, and financial accuracy</li>
<li>Produce communications content and briefings related to our commercial services</li>
<li>Line manage and support the Office Administrator</li>
<li>Contribute to innovation and improvement in our commercial offer</li>
</ul>
About You
We are looking for someone with strong project coordination and stakeholder management experience, who is confident in a commercial environment. You will have a great eye for detail, a solutions-focused approach, and an ability to work well with a wide range of internal and external partners.
You will ideally bring:
<ul>
<li>A relevant qualification (e.g., Business Studies, Marketing) or equivalent experience</li>
<li>Proven experience managing projects and commercial services</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including tact and diplomacy</li>
<li>A track record of building strong customer and supplier relationships</li>
<li>Confidence in negotiating terms and managing commercial risk</li>
<li>Strong IT and CRM system skills</li>
<li>High numeracy and attention to detail</li>
<li>An understanding of or experience within local government or consultancy is desirable</li>
