The Role
You will play a lead role in the successful management and co-ordination of operational support and administrative activities for the Repairs and Investment Service. This will include administrative support for the Principal Repairs Officer and other Repairs and Maintenance areas within the council. Additionally, you will ensure that the Repairs and Investment Service fully complies with the Councils’ Core Customer Care Standards.
You will have experience of managing and supervising a small team as the role will require managing 3 Business Support Officers and 2 Work Planners in their day to duties. You will ensure the team perform to the expected agreed standards and will develop and nurture their skills in line with performance targets.
Additionally, you will assist Repairs Management in collating and monitoring KPI statistics and assist in processing and dealing with complaints, customer correspondence and customer satisfaction data.
The role requires the candidate to demonstrate substantial experience and knowledge of the social housing sector within a repairs and maintenance framework or the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience as set out in the person specification.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health and Safety and Environmental Manager to lead the strategic and operational delivery of compliance across our Landlord Services. This is a pivotal role ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and environmental integrity of our housing stock, staff, and tenants.
You will oversee statutory compliance, risk management, and environmental sustainability across housing operations—including water safety, fire risk, asbestos, disrepair, voids, and emerging legislation such as Awaab’s Law. Working closely with senior leaders and technical teams, you will embed a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Lead the development and implementation of health and safety policies, procedures, and audits across landlord services.</li>
<li>Ensure full compliance with statutory duties including COSHH, RIDDOR, CDM, and housing-specific regulations.</li>
<li>Oversee environmental risk management including water hygiene, asbestos, damp and mould, and energy efficiency.</li>
<li>Support operational teams with training, guidance, and technical expertise.</li>
<li>Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, boards, and regulators.</li>
<li>Lead investigations, incident reviews, and corrective action planning.</li>
<li>Champion tenant safety and engagement through clear communication and partnership working.</li>
</ul>
&nbsp;What we’re looking for:
<ul>
<li>NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in health and safety.</li>
<li>Proven experience managing compliance in housing, property, or public sector environments.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of housing legislation, consumer standards, and environmental health.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.</li>
<li>Ability to translate complex regulations into practical, ethical service delivery.</li>
<li>Commitment to professional standards, tenant welfare, and continuous improvement.</li>

Charnwood Borough Council in Leicestershire is searching for the latest members of the Landlord Services Team.

The Person

The Role
The roles will participate in the out-of-hours call-out service . A full driving licence is essential, and a van is supplied for Charnwood Borough Council Business use only and power tools, and uniform are provided.
The roles involve maintenance of electrical systems within council properties. This would include domestic electrical works, responsive repairs to current systems, installations of new circuits and accessories. Testing and inspection of electrical systems, working with other trades to manage and complete works to a high standard. The successful candidates will become part of the Council’s Landlord Services Section, &nbsp;working in tenanted and void properties across the Charnwood area.
Essential Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 or City &amp; Guilds in Electrical Installation work
Approved Electrician certification or equivalent
City &amp; Guilds 2391-52 Inspection &amp; Testing or equivalent
BS7671 18th edition wiring regulations
