Reporting to the Community Safety Strategy Manager, you’ll work collaboratively with housing teams and partners to ensure residents affected by domestic abuse receive timely, consistent, and compassionate support with their housing needs. This is a specialist role focused on shaping policy, improving interventions, and leading service development to strengthen our community response.</p><p><strong>Interviews will take place w/c 2nd February 2026</strong></p><p><strong>This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check. West Northamptonshire Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.</strong></p><h2>Additional information</h2><p>You are an experienced professional with a strong background in housing and domestic abuse services. You bring:</p><ul><li><strong>Expert knowledge</strong> of the DAHA framework, Domestic Abuse Act 2022, and related housing legislation.</li><li><strong>Proven experience</strong> in social housing or homelessness services, including supporting those affected by domestic abuse.</li><li><strong>Strong leadership and communication skills</strong>, able to influence, advise, and train staff across multi-agency partnerships.</li><li>The ability to manage complex workloads, interpret legislation, and deliver service improvements.
