An opportunity has become available to join a team dedicated to delivering a high level of customer service at parks’ facilities across the borough.
This post is for casual hours only to help cover vacant shifts and will vary each week from 0 hours up to 16 hours. The role would suit someone with other commitments who enjoys working outside and is looking for some extra income.&nbsp; You&nbsp;must&nbsp;have a driving licence (manual) to be considered.
Your duties will include unlocking and locking of parks, regular patrols and helping to maintain a safe environment for visitors. You will be highly visible and proactively engage with members of the public, event organisers, community groups and sports teams.
In addition to these duties, you may assist with the day-to-day operation of seasonal facilities including the Stoke Park Visitor Point, paddling pool and Chantry Wood campsite.&nbsp; Training will be provided.
With excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly and enthusiastic manner, you will be able to interact with members of the public in a tactful and diplomatic way. You will be flexible and reliable with the ability to work alone and prioritise workloads. You will be required to keep written records and ensure that administrative tasks are completed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.

It’s an exciting time to join the Community Wellbeing team within Spelthorne. We developed and built temporary accommodation for families, and purpose built supported accommodation for single homeless residents and continue to look for opportunities for permanent and temporary housing solutions. We have just launched our ambitious Homelessness &amp; Rough Sleeping Strategy 2025-2030 which aims to end the use of bed and breakfast accommodation, promote independence and wellbeing, and maximise the use of the private rented sector for homelessness prevention and relief. We are working closely with partners to deliver innovative and appropriate options to facilitate discharge from hospital and prevent admissions.

You will develop and lead the Council’s effective partnerships with Registered Providers and Homes England, as well as representing the housing service on internal development working groups in order to achieve this.
Together with your solid understanding of the economic and social issues that affect housing supply and demand locally, you will have a proven track record and significant experience in strategy policy and preparation. You will be an expert in housing and homelessness legislation as you will need to translate guidance, best practice, and case law into understandable and workable solutions.
You will be comfortable working with numbers and data in spreadsheets and databases and be able to translate the same into plain English for a variety of audiences. You will be able to use this data to not only drive business cases and funding bids, which will see new services commissioned in line with the Council’s strategic aims, but also to contract manage existing services. To do this effectively, you will need excellent ICT skills.
You will lead a small but effective team which you will be expected to coach and support. You will also support the Team Manager, Housing Options to ensure the Council’s statutory homelessness service is run according to legislation, statutory guidance, case law and best practice.

The Delivery Programme Officer (Retrofit) will be an integral part of multidisciplinary team, initially dedicated to supporting the 27 members of London’s Social Housing Fund Wave 3 Strategic Partnership to deliver retrofit measures across social housing in the capital at an unprecedented scale.
You will be a primary operational contact working with Local Authorities and Housing Associations retrofitting homes in their SHF Wave 3 projects. Whilst this will initially be for London’s SHF Wave 3 Strategic Partnership, the role will also extend to supporting other pan-London retrofit consortia as they are developed in future.
The successful candidate will be experienced in the delivery of retrofit measures in a social housing context, will have experience of central government retrofit grant funding, and be able to demonstrate project manager capabilities.

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; About the Role In this fast paced and exciting role, you will make a difference for our residents who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and in housing need. Our Homeless Prevention &amp; Relief Officers are on the frontline in proactively working with households facing homelessness to sustain their accommodation where possible or assist with securing alternative accommodation.
 You will be responsible for managing your own caseload and providing excellent customer service to our residents. You will carry out detailed case work investigations and issue statutory decision letters in line with current homeless legislation. You will support our most vulnerable residents at a time of crisis, working with and empowering them to resolve their threat of homelessness. You will be responsible for covering daily operational duties, including town hall cover, assisting with housing advice emails, triage phone line and any other duties and town hall cover on a rota basis.&nbsp;

What you will be doing

<li>Leading the Housing Policy and Enforcement team, managing officers and external contractors to deliver the Council’s housing priorities.</li>
<li>Developing and delivering the Council’s Housing Strategy, Empty Homes Strategy, and Private Sector Housing Grant and Enforcement Policies.</li>
<li>Supporting and enabling affordable housing delivery through strategic partnerships with Registered Providers, Homes England and health sector organisations.</li>

What you will bring to the role

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Employment Lawyer to join the Comptroller and City Solicitor’s Department at the City of London Corporation. This is a pivotal role that supports the delivery of high-quality legal services across a wide range of employment matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
You will be advising internal departments and external clients, representing the organisation in Employment Tribunals, drafting employment policies and contracts, and delivering training on employment-related legal topics. As an IV, you’ll be a consistent, caring adult outside their professional network - someone who chooses to be there, just for them.This is a long-term role, and we ask volunteers to commit to at least two years to help build a strong, stable relationship.We’re especially keen to hear from volunteers based in or near London and Kent, where many of our young people live.Why it mattersYoung people in care often face instability and frequent change.
