What We’re Looking For:The successful candidate will have:<ul><li>A valid Lifeguarding qualification (NPLQ) and First Aid qualification</li><li>Previous experience in lifeguarding roles, including use of lifeguarding and resuscitation techniques</li><li>Experience dealing with emergencies and administering first aid</li><li>Sound knowledge of swimming pool operating procedures, including water testing and pre-pool checks</li><li>The ability to respond to pool user enquiries, manage misbehaviour, and give and receive clear instructions</li><li>Experience working with special needs children (desirable), ideally within a school setting</li><li>The ability to follow and implement clear health and safety procedures, including pool evacuation procedures</li></ul>You will be required to attend regular lifeguarding training to ensure your qualification remains valid. This training can be completed as part of your five training days.Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. About the role 
Rugby Borough Council is looking to enhance its Safety &amp; Resilience Team. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team which is driving behavioural change across the Council to ensure excellence in health, safety, welfare, emergency planning and resilience management and compliance with the Corporate Health and Safety Policy, Emergency planning policies, Procedures, and relevant Statutory Regulations.
The role is to work within the existing Rugby Borough Council Safety and Resilience Team on all aspects of Health and Safety Management, and Resilience across Rugby Borough Council which includes diverse business streams.
As part of the team, you will be responsible for actively promoting a positive safety culture and resilience across the organisation. You will interact with multiple stakeholders of all levels.
You will be responsible for predominately the Operational Areas including Work Services, Property Repairs and Grounds Maintenance.
You will also support the safety team with business continuity and emergency planning to ensure the resilience of the Council.
Hybrid working maybe available, but will be determined based on business priorities at that time

About you
You will need to have experience in either a Health and Safety or Resilience role, hold a relevant professional qualification (such as a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent) with a willingness to work towards the NEBOSH Diploma if you don’t already hold it.
Alongside this you’ll have excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills both written and spoken, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ideally you will have diversity of experience covering a variety of sites with a range of health and safety / resilience issues, although we can provide site-specific training.

We are seeking a highly motivated, inspirational team leader to join us in taking forward our Environmental Health service in both Cannock Chase District and Stafford Borough.
You will be responsible for leading and managing our food and safety teams in both authorities delivering food safety and occupational health and safety regulation. Working within a team of four Principal Officers, you will play a key role in shaping delivery of our Environmental Health services.
