The Register Office team plays a vital role in supporting residents at some of the most significant events in their lives, from the registration of births and deaths to celebrating marriages, civil partnerships and citizenship ceremonies. We are a dedicated, professional and customer-focused team committed to delivering high-quality services with compassion, accuracy and respect. Working collaboratively across a range of functions, we take pride in providing an excellent experience for our customers and maintaining the integrity of the registration service.

What is the job role?

We are seeking two full time (37 hours) and a part time (18.5 hours) enthusiastic, professional and customer-focused individuals to join our busy Register Office team. This is a varied and rewarding role, requiring excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while dealing with members of the public at significant moments in their lives.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for motivated and customer-focused individuals with excellent communication skills and proven administrative, organisational and time management abilities. You will be capable of working accurately under pressure, maintaining a high level of attention to detail while managing competing priorities.

The successful candidates will demonstrate a positive and professional attitude, be a supportive team players and have a flexible approach to service delivery. You will be confident in working independently and building effective working relationships with colleagues, partners and customers alike. Given the sensitive nature of the work, a strong commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and customer care is essential.
