For the Healthy Families workstream this informs the support we deliver from the antenatal period through to early childhood – the first 1001 days.This role will actively support, monitor and review a range of projects delivering healthier outcomes for both pregnant and postnatal people and their families. Our Private Sector Housing team seeks to improve the conditions and management standards of private sector housing.
You’ll assist the team in achieving this by leading on the changes brought in by the Renters Rights Act to the delivery of housing enforcement standards, ensuring private sector residential accommodation throughout the District meets statutory standards and helping to bring about improvements in conditions and standards of management for residents.
You will deliver service improvements by developing new working processes and building relationships with partners to meet the requirements of the Renters Rights Act.
You’ll be responsible for assessing a variety of properties using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and interpreting the results of these assessments to determine an appropriate course of action to deal with each hazard identified.
You will investigate complaints regarding housing conditions and undertake detailed surveys and inspections of residential accommodation throughout the District.
With your knowledge of Housing legislation, you’ll be comfortable using formal action where necessary, including attendance at Court where required.

Who are we?
Leaways School is an independent specialist day school in Clapton, for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 17. The school provides a safe learning environment for children and young people with
social, emotional and mental health needs including autism and an
EHC Plan. We also have a dedicated primary unit taking children from 7 years old. We aim to offer as close to a mainstream experience as possible but provide the additional care and support needed around each young person to enable them to thrive.
Leaways School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

Rutland County Council urgently needs more local foster carers to help children aged 0 to 18 stay close to their schools, friends, and communities. Foster carers play a vital role in supporting children and young people who, for various reasons, can’t live with their birth families.
There are several types of foster care to suit different lifestyles. These include:

<li>short-term care, where a child stays with you until they can return home or move on</li>
<li>long-term care, offering a stable home into adulthood; emergency care for children needing immediate safety</li>
<li>short breaks for children with additional needs; and respite care, which provides regular support to families</li>
</ul>
Fostering is incredibly rewarding.
You’ll receive expert training, emotional support, and generous financial allowances - starting from £342 per week for a new carer looking after younger children, rising to £555 per week for an experienced carer looking after teenagers, as well as birthday and festive payments.

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, innovative and highly motivated teacher to join our Sycamore Resourced Base provision team, with experience teaching SEND students at KS3 and KS4 to GCSE level. The successful candidate will join a passionate and experienced team and be well supported to continue their own professional development. Our Sycamore provision is a MLD specialist, resourced base provision onsite for students with a range of additional needs who have an EHCP and require additional support to access the national curriculum and GCSEs. The resourced base allows students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) to access mainstream education where they receive a meaningful and personalised education whilst integrating within a mainstream setting.
Students are taught their subjects by the specialist teaching staff with the support of teaching assistants. Students do also access some lessons in the main school building too, including some options subjects in Key Stage 4. The Sycamore team also support the students pastorally in form time and in PSHE. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team who make a difference, not only to students academic success, but also in developing their pride, kindness and resilience.
