Environmental Protection OfficerSalary NS7 £28,598 - £30,024 per annum Permanent; Full-Time- 37 hoursPrevious Applicants Need Not ApplyWe are now recruiting for an Environmental Protection Officer to work in our communities conducting frontline enforcement and investigations of enviro-crime including fly-tipping, waste issues, graffiti, abandoned vehicles and littering. You will be required to issue fixed penalty notices, conduct investigations and to prepare and present case files for court hearings. In addition, preferred candidates will have experience of working with schools and community groups and will be ready to build strong links with our communities, undertaking monitoring work and education on recycling and environmental issues. Additional training will be available for the right candidate if required.Excellent customer care skills are essential for this role and applicants must be able to demonstrate good people skills often in challenging situations. Applicants must be good team players and have excellent computer skills with experience of MS office software.
