This role will also directly be responsible for the line management of range of staff from assistant team manager through to child exploitation workers.&nbsp; The role will also have oversight of our commissioned interventions within the team.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
This role will require you to work with colleagues from across the partnership to ensure our safeguarding intervention response to various forms of harm is delivered to a high standard.&nbsp; A key aspect of the role is working in partnership with the police and other agencies to identify and respond to threats and risks in the community. This includes supporting intelligence gathering, mapping activity, and attending multi-agency forums to ensure timely action and joined-up working.
Previous experience of working within specialist therapeutic services and working in multi-agency teams, managing projects or people, including partnerships and using data intelligently to improve the way things are done will be an advantage.

Senior Social Worker/Social Worker Working Age Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join and be part of the Working Age, Adult Social Work Team on a permanent basis. We welcome applications from experienced Social Workers.
The Working Age Social Work Team is responsible for adults from the age of 18 to 67 with a Learning Disability, Physical Disability, or a Diagnosis of a Severe and Enduring Mental Health Need. The team is also responsible for the statutory provisions under the Mental Health Act 1983 and runs the Council’s AMHP rota. 
The Social Work team is extremely busy, and the work undertaken is complex and challenging. As a Social Worker on the team, you will be expected to carry a complex caseload made up of all the different client groups the team works with, you will also be undertaking investigations under Safeguarding, Assessments including those under the Care Act, Care Planning and Reviewing. 
The team also undertakes a huge amount of legal work and has an excellent working relationship with the Council’s Legal Team. The successful candidate will have the BIA qualification or be willing to undertake this. The team works very closely with colleagues in Merseycare, we have a social work presence in all the Merseycare in-patient wards which are now across the whole footprint of the Merseycare region. We are also proud to have implemented a new Homelessness Social Work post, which works with the homelessness population in St Helens, this post is attached to the Social Work team however operates within the outreach service, YMCA, and Salvation Army. 
The successful candidate will be a qualified AMHP or willing to undertake AMHP training. You will have the opportunity to develop your social work skills and knowledge by supporting the AMHPs when undertaking Mental Health Act Assessments in the community and hospital settings. The AMHP rota is managed by our AMHP Lead and runs until 8pm Monday to Friday so there may be times when you are asked to work past your normal working hours. 
In return you will be provided with management support from the team manager, AMHP Lead and 2 Advanced Practitioners and you will be part of a very supportive team, receive monthly supervision, informal supervision, appraisals, one to one support and monthly team meetings and have access to on-going training and development.

Advanced Practitioner, Working Age Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join and be part of the Working Age, Adult Social Work Team as one of our Advanced Practitioners.
The Working Age Social Work Team is responsible for adults from the age of 18 to 67 with a Learning Disability, Physical Disability, or a Diagnosis of a Severe and Enduring Mental Health need. The team is also responsible for the statutory provisions under the Mental Health Act 1983 and runs the Council’s AMHP rota. 
The Social Work team is extremely busy, and the work undertaken is complex and challenging.
As one of our Advanced Practitioners you will carry a small but complex caseload made up of all the different service user groups the team works with. Your main role within the team will be to support the Team Manager and AMHP Lead with the day-to-day operational functions of the team. This will include, the management of duty, management of safeguarding, supervision of social workers and assessment and review workers and the allocation of work under the Care Act 2014. 
The team also undertakes a huge amount of legal work and has an excellent working relationship with the Councils Legal Team. The team works very closely with colleagues in Merseycare, we have a social work presence in all the Mersey care in-patient wards which are now across the whole footprint of the Merseycare region.

Assessment and Review Worker Working Age, Adult Social Work Team. 
 
An opportunity has arisen to join the Working Age Team, which is part of the Adult Social Work Department for St Helens Council. 
The team works with adults who are in need of social care intervention between the ages of 18 - 67. The team undertakes a wide range of work with people with a Physical and Sensory Disability, Learning Disability and Severe and Enduring Mental Health Issues. The Working Age Team is part of a well-run Peoples’ Service, ensuring that key employer standards and support are available around training, appraisal, caseload management and supervision, both formal and informal.
As one of our Assessment and Review Workers you will be responsible for undertaking annual reviews of commissioned care packages, supported living placements and residential/nursing care. You will also support the AMHPs on the AMHP rota who will complete Mental Health Act Assessments within the community or hospital setting. This role may take you out of core working hours, but we offer lieu time and overtime. 
You may also be asked to support the Social Workers on complex cases and to undertake joint visits, this would include Safeguarding. 
In return we offer monthly formal supervision, appraisals, on-going training, and a very supportive team. We have monthly team meetings and practice groups. There is regular access to the management team who will provide you with support and advice. The Team follows an Agile Hybrid Model of working and our main hub is at Atlas House. All IT Equipment is provided to facilitate working in this way. Our current benefits package for this role includes:
·Out of hours enhanced payment available, should there be a requirement to work outside core office hours to complete an assessment. ·Free parking when using the hub. ·Additional holiday purchase scheme. ·Flexible working schemes with the possibility to accrue an additional flexi day’s leave per month. Working through a person-centred framework, you will be responsible for designing, supervising and implementing teaching, learning and behaviour support programmes for children and young people with autism
Main duties will include:

<li>Working as part of a trans-disciplinary team to support the delivery of effective and appropriate teaching, learning and behaviour support in all areas of school life as a result of trans-disciplinary working underpinned by an evidence-based behavioural model of practice.</li>
<li>Being responsible for conducting functional assessments and developing comprehensive function based Positive Behaviour Support plans and interventions to reduce behaviour that challenges and monitoring the effectiveness of these plans through development of robust data collection systems and analysis of the data.</li>
<li>Using evidence-informed practices to develop personalised learning support.</li>
<li>Conducting a range of assessments including assessment for learning, assessment of learning, admissions assessments, behavioural assessments and assessments of maintenance and generalisation.</li>
<li>Preparing for and contributing to Person Centred Reviews.</li>
<li>Working in partnership with parents, colleagues and other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people.</li>
