    Assessment and Review Worker Working Age, Adult Social Work Team.


    An opportunity has arisen to join the Working Age Team, which is part of the Adult Social Work Department for St Helens Council.

    The team works with adults who are in need of social care intervention between the ages of 18 - 67. The team undertakes a wide range of work with people with a Physical and Sensory Disability, Learning Disability and Severe and Enduring Mental Health Issues.

    The Working Age Team is part of a well-run Peoples’ Service, ensuring that key employer standards and support are available around training, appraisal, caseload management and supervision, both formal and informal.

    As one of our Assessment and Review Workers you will be responsible for undertaking annual reviews of commissioned care packages, supported living placements and residential/nursing care. You will also support the AMHPs on the AMHP rota who will complete Mental Health Act Assessments within the community or hospital setting. This role may take you out of core working hours, but we offer lieu time and overtime.

    You may also be asked to support the Social Workers on complex cases and to undertake joint visits, this would include Safeguarding.

    In return we offer monthly formal supervision, appraisals, on-going training, and a very supportive team. We have monthly team meetings and practice groups. There is regular access to the management team who will provide you with support and advice.

    The Team follows an Agile Hybrid Model of working and our main hub is at Atlas House. All IT Equipment is provided to facilitate working in this way.
