About you, and your responsibilities:&nbsp;
You might have experience from a Local Authority background, from a school, college, or Early Years background, you might come from a Health Service or third sector background too. Certainly, you’ll have a good knowledge and experience of the SEN system, and you will have a demonstrable understanding of the SEN Code of Practice, and you’ll be aware of changes that might be coming in the SEN system, and what that might mean for councils, schools, and most of all children and young people.&nbsp;&nbsp;
For those wanting to join our PFA team, you’ll have an understanding of what it means to Prepare for Adulthood, and a working knowledge of the concept of post-16 and post-18 provision and placements.&nbsp;&nbsp;
You’ll be good at communicating, able to share the positive and the difficult messages which come with SEN, confident in the knowledge that your managers and local leaders will support you. You’ll do this with empathy, with kindness, but also with clearness and confidence.&nbsp;&nbsp;
You’ll be well organised and able to balance competing priorities day to day, and you’ll understand why good record keeping is important, and most importantly, do it. About the Role
Due to internal promotion, we have an opportunity for two full time Senior Planning Officers to join our Development Management team on a permanent contract. One post within the householders/others team and the other within the Large Majors team.
‘Development Management’ is the ‘coal face’ of the planning service, part of the Regeneration and Place Directorate.&nbsp; There are three teams, ‘large majors’, ‘major/minors’ and ‘householders/others’ teams handling planning applications, appeals and associated work.&nbsp; The wider team incorporates an Enforcement, Heritage, Landscape and Trees, together with technical support.&nbsp; There are close working relationships with Building Control, Planning Policy, s106/CIL team, Economic Development &amp; Legal Services. The validation of planning applications is undertaken by Mid Kent Planning Services which is shared with Swale Borough Council.
As a Senior Planning Officer in the householders/others team, you will be determining a wide range of applications, including householder, adverts, change of use, breaches, telecommunications, discharge of conditions and Certificates of Lawfulness in an area experiencing one of the highest number of applications in Kent.&nbsp; This will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders, applicants, agents, Councillors and others involved in the planning process.&nbsp; Attendance at planning committee would be required, when necessary, the committee meets once a month and meetings take place in the evening, at Maidstone’s Town Hall.&nbsp; You will be in a position to offer supervisory support and training to junior members of staff with some signing off powers to support the Team Leader as required and depending on experience.&nbsp;
As a Senior Planning Officer in the large major’s team, you will be determining a wide range of applications, these will include schemes for larger than 50 dwellings, major commercial schemes, corporate projects and submission of details, legal agreements and other associated applications.&nbsp; There will the opportunity to be involved and shadow principal planning officers in the local plan allocated garden settlement schemes and large major schemes.&nbsp; This will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders, applicants, agents, Councillors and others involved in the planning process.&nbsp; Attendance at planning committee would be required, when necessary, the committee meets once a month and meetings take place in the evening, at Maidstone’s Town Hall.&nbsp;
These roles are being offered on a 37 hour week, with office based working at least two days per week with flexible home working on an agreed basis as part of the Council’s approach to offer employees a range of flexible working opportunities.

About You:

The Council is also the collecting authority for the Mayor of London’s CIL.
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Delivery Team Leader to lead the Infrastructure Delivery Team and play a critical role in securing funding from new development; and ensuring that new developments implement improvements to infrastructure and services that are agreed as part of planning permissions.​
About the role
In this role, your main responsibility will be to lead and manage the Infrastructure Delivery Team responsible for all CIL and Section 106 processes. This includes the administration and collection of CIL and Section 106 payments for the Borough; and the post-collection allocation and spending of funds, including the ongoing development of a Neighbourhood CIL spend process.
The postholder will lead on the development and implementation of processes for the collection of the forthcoming Building Safety Levy; and will be involved with the development of the new Bromley Local Plan, particularly with regard to evidence base development related to infrastructure.
The Team Leader post will have line management responsibility for two Infrastructure Delivery Officers and will report directly to the Head of Planning Policy and Strategy. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in the Planning Policy and Design &amp; Conservation teams which also sit within the Planning Policy and Strategy service; and will also work with other departments across the Council including Development Management, Finance, Housing and Regeneration.
The successful candidate will represent the Planning Policy and Strategy service at various internal and external meetings, including Council committee meetings; and will also be required to deputise for the Head of Planning Policy and Strategy in relation to infrastructure delivery matters, as and when required.
What we offer
This is an MG6 grade role, with a salary range of £47,536 to £71,302. It is a full-time, permanent role, based on a 36-hour working week. The role is based at Bromley Civic Centre (opposite Bromley South station). We offer hybrid working arrangements, with the current expectation that the post holder will be in the office for at least 2 days per week.

Principal Network Management Engineer Salary: SMRA £60,702 - £73,698 We now have a vacancy for a Principal Network Management Engineer who reports to the Head of Network Management and is responsible for managing activities on the network; and for ensuring business continuity across the whole of the Highways, Parking and Transportation sectors. This involves making decisions at a high level in support of the Head of Network Management.&nbsp;This role on occasion deputises for the Head of Network Management and can manage a team of up to twelve staff.&nbsp;This is a demanding management role requiring a broad range of skills in the fields of Network Management, Street Works, Road Safety, and Highway Engineering at management level. The post holder will need a good knowledge of Emergency Planning and Business Continuity. Working with internal and external works promoters, partners and stakeholders, you will lead on the making and issue of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders for works, give approvals on traffic management plans, (including portable signals), related to National Permit Scheme, advise on events, and participate in the planning process giving consents approvals for third party developers Demolition and Construction Logistics Plans, and or major construction projects, i.e. Meridian Steps, Hallsville Quarter, Custom House Redevelopment etc. This will involve problem solving activities, and multi promoter and partner discussions. On occasion there will be a need to assert the rights of the Council and from time to time you will be involved in the preparation of legal papers and attend court. The role involves working directly with partner organisations, key stakeholders and other council officers including those from Public Realm, Environment, Planning, Licensing, Highways, Transportation, Parking, and Regeneration.&nbsp; The work covers office hours, and is hybrid working requiring attendance in the office of up to 3 days a week, but can also require attendance at evening meetings, or at events at the weekend; it also contributes to the council’s emergency planning response, and flexibility is required to be on call when required. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience working in a busy Highways and Sustainable Transport, Network Management environment, with excellent communication skills and knowledge across a range of work environments including emergency planning, business continuity and events.&nbsp; You will be a highly experienced manager with a background in highway law and practice, road safety, Street Works and Road Works, the National Permit Scheme, Event Planning, Business Continuity, the making of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders, and other licences, and be committed to delivering outstanding service and outcomes.&nbsp; You will be an excellent leader, have sound judgement, exceptional skills in managing people and working with partners, and have significant experience in managing a team, delivering service improvements and in using resources efficiently and effectively.&nbsp; Your communication skills must be highly developed as public speaking, engagement with other agencies and submission of regular reports are key to the role. As part of this role you will be required to possess a full (manual), clean current driving licence to enable you to attend meetings, events, and other needs.  The Child Death Review Hub covering Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest, City and Hackney (WELC) is recruiting for a co-ordinator to join this friendly team, employed by London Borough of Newham based at Newham Dockside. You would be expected to come to the office 1-2 days per week usually Tuesday or Thursday) This is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.&nbsp;&nbsp;

 This is an administrative role to work as part of the Child Death Review (CDR) Hub team to co-ordinate the CDR System, such that the system functions efficiently and effectively.&nbsp;&nbsp;

 We are looking for candidates who have extensive experience in an administrative role using a digital/online system and have experience of working with public agencies such as local authorities and NHS trusts. &nbsp;You must have excellent administrative and IT skills and be competent with digital systems. You may also be required to work independently at times although you will be well supported with full training. This role requires you to be an integral team member, be motivated and flexible. &nbsp;You will be able to communicate well in a variety of ways and build and maintain good quality, ongoing and one-off, relationships with professionals and their organisations who need to participate in the child death review process. Knowledge and understanding of the Child Death Review process would be useful.&nbsp;&nbsp;
