We pay an attractive salary of £16.35 per hour and offer access to training and development opportunities. Caerphilly Registration Service wishes to appoint Relief Registration and Celebratory Services Officers to provide additional casual support mainly for conducting and registering civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies. The working pattern will be on a relief basis, as and when required over 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. The work can be seasonal with the majority over the spring and summer months. Applicants must be available to work on all 7 days of a week. Whilst the shift pattern is provided on a rota in advance, you may also be called on at short notice. For the role, we ask that you have: <ul><li>Good general education to GCSE standard or Level 1 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework.</li><li>Working knowledge of the Registration Service.</li><li>The ability to work flexibly including weekends and public holidays as required by the needs of the service.</li><li>Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend ceremonies at various locations and visit clients at their home.</li></ul>We have excellent benefits including the Local Government Pension Scheme, agile working patterns and staff discount schemes. What is the job role?
Casual (to cover staff absences and school holidays)
You’ll be providing nutritious meals for school and youth groups visiting Plas Dol-y-Moch, in line with catering policies and food safety standards. This includes preparing, cooking, and serving food, as well as accommodating special dietary needs.
As a Casual Cook, you will:
<ul>
<li>Prepare and serve meals to a high standard</li>
<li>Receive, store, and handle food in line with Food Safety and COSHH regulations</li>
<li>Supervise kitchen staff and maintain hygiene, health, and safety procedures</li>
<li>Deliver meals tailored to children's dietary or medical requirements</li>
</ul>
