Assistant Systems Accountant
About the role:
An exciting and challenging opportunity has been created to join the Finance Service at Wirral Council. We are looking for an Assistant Systems Accountant to join and support our finance system support team.
As a key member of the Finance team, your primary purpose will be to support the Senior Finance Manager - Systems to deliver support to the finance system. You will play a key role in the supporting of all elements of the finance system as well as supporting the finance team through training and guidance on the system.
About the candidate: 
You will be an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed individual, who is able to demonstrate a high degree of financial technical accounting ability, whilst also possessing excellent finance system skills.
This is a challenging position and will require strong financial analysis skills and a working knowledge of financial systems.
Candidates will have some level of accounting qualification and preferably with experience in a local government finance environment.
