At Arun District Council, we are continuously working to improve wellbeing, housing, the environment and the economy within the district. We care about making a difference to those who live, work, and visit Arun, and you could be that difference.
Overall Job Purpose:
We want to recruit a project manager to join our Technology & Digital Service.
We are looking for a dynamic and detailed-orientated project manager to lead on digital projects that drive transformation and improvements. This could be by implementing new systems, replacing existing ones or just improving what we do now.
The role sits within our Technology & Digital Service which also includes ICT, but we are not expecting you to be an out and out technologist as you will have support from the wider technical teams.
As an experienced project manager you will manage projects through their full life cycle from concept to completion – on time, within scope and to budget.
It is an exciting time to join us as we have just started a project to replace our HR & payroll system which will be your main focus for the next 9 – 12 months.
We can offer hybrid working for this role where some of your week will be office based and some at home (UK based only).
We also operate a flexible working day where your hours can be worked between 7:30am and 7:00pm.
For more information about joining the Technology & Digital Team, the role profile is located at the bottom of this advert. It details the main duties of the job as well as the behaviours and competencies (evaluated at interview stage).
We love to invest in our people, providing the opportunity for professional development and fulfilment. Work life balance is encouraged, and we enjoy a variety of flexible working arrangements. Please see Why work for Arun for more information on what Arun offers their employees.
We're an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, veteran, neurodiversity status or disability.
