About the role
Navigators are the first point of contact for the Family Hub service. They provide reception services in our main Family Hub buildings and work as part of a city wide team to provide families with information, advice and guidance on a range of many different subjects including how to find local childcare, help with parenting and family support, and where to access health services.
No day is ever the same in Family Hubs – our Navigators support a large number and diverse range of families, many of whom do not speak English as their first language or need extra help from us to access our services. Many of these families present at the Hubs and are in crisis or need immediate assistance in an emergency. The Navigator team also have a duty rota to respond to telephone and email enquiries.
The Family Hubs service has received additional funding from the Department for Education for a third year of transformation and we are excited about this next chapter in the development of our service.
