You will also support the delivery of community safety initiatives and projects, such as crime prevention campaigns and events.&nbsp;&nbsp;
You will provide an ambassadorial role withing the town centre, offering support where applicable and liaise with local businesses and visitors of Barnsley town centre.&nbsp;

Senior Anti-Social Behaviour Enforcement Officer
We are looking to appoint a Senior Anti-Social Behaviour Enforcement Officer, to join a small team who is committed to supporting the community by tackling anti-social behaviour, as part of the Council’s Community Safety service.
The Officer will play a key part in working in partnership with Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire &amp; Rescue Service, Registered Providers and other partners and colleagues internally to make a difference. It is a fast-paced environment with short notice enforcement action as well as longer paced case work.
We are looking for an officer with knowledge of the relevant law, government guidance, policies and practice relating to tackling anti-social behaviour.&nbsp;
You will also need to have excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate information; to present clear, accurate and concise reports to a wide range of audiences, and an ability to work effectively with individuals, teams, customers, partners and staff, understanding the functions and needs of the service and the organisation.&nbsp;
We would like to hear from you if you can handle emotive and stressful situations and have excellent time management along with the experience in using the relevant tools and powers to tackle anti-social behaviour and ideally have managerial or supervisory experience. You will also provide support and deputise for the Manager as and when required.
The posts are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) at Enhanced level and Non-Police Personnel Level 2 (NPPV2F) clearance.

We are looking to recruit an Arts and Cultural Development Manager to join the Leisure &amp; Community Development Team at Spelthorne Borough Council.
This is an exciting, broad, and varied role, responsible for managing the Council’s arts and heritage programmes, developing initiatives to inspire the community and increase engagement in the arts and culture. It is an exciting time to join Spelthorne’s Leisure and Community Development Team.&nbsp; In 2026 the role will be responsible for delivering the Spelthorne Youth Awards as well as helping to deliver the community engagement strand of Escalate Arts, The Arts Council Funded Partnership initiative looking to increase arts engagement across the borough.
As the Arts and Community Development Manager you will encourage greater collaboration between local arts groups, strengthening the local arts sector.&nbsp; You will work in partnership with key stakeholders, explore funding opportunities and develop initiatives based on existing and emerging needs, setting targets and monitoring outcomes.&nbsp;
You will also be responsible for overseeing management of the Spelthorne Resource Centre acting as the principle point of contact for temporary staff.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience of arts and heritage programming. Someone with a can-do attitude, willingness to work independently and as part of a team, with a passion for community development and the ability to manage casual staff and volunteers.
You will be comfortable working with spreadsheets and databases and be able to interpret and convey complex information in plain English for a variety of audiences.
Please note that this post is identified as a hybrid post supporting both office and home working in line with Spelthorne Borough Council’s policy. The post holder will be required to attend the office in line with a rota and any service requirements.&nbsp; The post requires some evening and weekend work.

About the role:

About the Role: 
Active Wirral is seeking suitability trained, Level 2 Swimming Instructors to become part of our lesson deliver team.
The role will involve front line swimming lesson delivery to a variety of leisure stakeholders to include Swim Wirral, Aqua Tots and Adult Learn to Swim customers.
There are a variety of hours available from 10 hours per week up to 17.5 hours per week, working at the following Active Wirral Leisure Centres, Europa Pools, West Kirby Concourse, The Oval &amp; Leasowe Leisure Centre.
Swim Wirral lessons are delivered over 42 weeks per year.

This team works on a rota which includes 12 hours shifts. Some shifts will require working until 2am and some weekends. Staff are also required to be flexible as cover shifts are included in the rota which is subject to review and change depending on needs of the service. Working as part of the Clean City Team you will work with colleagues and the public to 'Help keep the city safe, clean and tidy and to provide support and advice when needed'. Being a community warden is a customer facing role and you will respond to demands to help ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all of the community. Your work will largely focus on all residential areas, parks, the seafront and open spaces. You will also carry out duties in busy shopping areas and precincts. You will be dealing with environmental nuisance such as fly tipping, littering, early refuse, wheelie bin audits, dog control orders and waste issues. You will gather evidence for and issue Fixed Penalty Notices, Community Protection Notices. You will be required to contact members of the public who have committed littering offences. You will prepare legal documents, case files and attend Court as needed. You will check CCTV and use IT equipment to access footage. You will work with partner agencies on Criminal Behaviour Orders or injunctions and contribute to dealing with other issues affecting the community. Skills: •	Have a full driving licence (car) as you will be visiting various sites across Portsmouth and will need to be able to travel effectively between them responding to demand which could include calls of anti-social behaviour or investigating environmental issues. •	Have experience of customer service, call handing, managing email inbox and be willing to listen and talk to the general public. •	Have experience of dealing with vulnerable adults and young people with complex needs (substance misuse/mental health issues) •	Be literate and able to write clearly as your evidence may be used in court, on which you may be called to testify. •	Have ability to use IT data systems, CCTV and body warn camera applications. <li>Deliver statutory duties related to Public Rights of Way (PROW), open access, and promoted routes across Staffordshire.</li>
<li>Lead the strategic management of the PROW network, ensuring accessibility, sustainability, and legal compliance.</li>
<li>Develop and implement policies, procedures, and improvement plans to enhance rural access and rights of way.</li>
<li>Engage and consult with stakeholders, elected members, communities, and forums to support evidence-led decision making.</li>
<li>Manage staff, budgets, and resources to deliver inspections, enforcement, maintenance, and improvements across the network.</li>
<li>Integrate rights of way into infrastructure planning, while promoting innovation, volunteer involvement, and digital solutions to expand service capacity.</li>
</ul>The Ideal Candidate You will have:&nbsp;<ul>
<li>Qualified at degree level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.</li>
<li>Detailed knowledge and understanding of rights of way (highways) and access legislation and practice in England.</li>
<li>Significant experience of rights of way procedures and management, including experience of enforcement, dispute resolution, analysis of historical evidence and demand prioritisation.</li>
<li>Significant knowledge and experience of risk assessment and management, safe systems of work and CDM regulations&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience of budget management, procurement and contract management</li>
<li>Effective and strategic leadership and management skills</li>
<li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills including ability to engage the public, collaborate with partners and constructively resolve disputes</li>

This role is expected to provide an efficient and effective service of parking enforcement in our borough car parks, in order to minimise Parking Contraventions through the issue of penalty charge notices in appropriate cases, in accordance with the Council’s objectives, policies and the Parking Order.
The candidate will hold the relevant qualification to carry out Civil Enforcement (Level 2 Award, City and Guilds), be conversant with Civil Enforcement legislation and procedures, and be polite and capable of representing a positive and helpful image for Spelthorne Borough Council to our residents and customers.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for customer facing posts.&nbsp; These posts fall within the scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers.&nbsp; The Council, therefore, has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
