The Streetpride Service is Coventry City Council's Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance Service. &nbsp;It has a responsibility and statutory duty to keep the City Clean, Green and attractive for all.The service operates out of 3 strategically based sites across the City and provides a cleansing service 7 days per week for 52 weeks of the year.We currently clean 10’000 miles of road network each year and empty over 3’000 street litter bins each week.We value diverse perspectives and experiences and are striving to create an inclusive workplace culture, is accepting of all and is free from discrimination and bias.Our Values In line with our One Coventry Values, we want to ensure that our communities are represented across our workforce. </ul>What is the job role? As a Neighbourhood Operative, you will be working as part of our street cleansing team. You will be responsible for ensuring our streets are kept clean at all times by undertaking a range of street cleansing activities and ensuring all work is carried out by the appropriate Safe Systems of Work.&nbsp;The duties of this role will involve:<ul>
<li>Sweeping streets</li>
<li>Emptying bins</li>
<li>Litter picking&nbsp;</li>
<li>Removal of small-scale graffiti&nbsp;</li>
<li>Collection of other associated waste as required.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>This is a 37-hour-a-week role working 7:00 am until 3:00 pm Monday to Thursday, with a 2:30pm finish on a Friday.Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will:&nbsp;<ul>

<li>be physically fit and able to walk for long periods and work in all weather</li>
<li>able to undertake various labouring tasks involving bending, pulling, and lifting.</li>
<li>customer-focused and able to remain respectful, calm, and polite in environments where they may experience challenging behaviours or situations when assisting the general public and customers by responding to minor queries and complaints</li>
<li>confident to take appropriate action to avoid formal complaints.</li>
