Willow Family Wellbeing Centre Nursery provides all year-round education &amp; care for children aged 6 months to 5 years. We have spaces for fee paying children, those eligible for the free 15 or 30 hour entitlement &amp; spaces that are pre booked for children with special educational needs &amp; disabilities or those that are working with social care.&nbsp;
We have a vacancy for a nursery practitioner who is passionate about working with young children in an inclusive environment, and who has experience of supporting children with a range of additional needs.
The Post
The post will have a key group of children in one of the 4 rooms, the 0–2 year old room, the 2-3 year old room, the pre-school room or the Sunshine room within Willow Family-Wellbeing Nursery. The post will initially be based in our Sunshine Room, our provision for children with a diagnosis of Autism. You will have the opportunity to work with 12 amazing children, who are supported by highly trained and motivated staff. We are offer many opportunities for professional development.
This role will involve being a keyperson &amp; using observation to plan in order to offer high quality learning opportunities for all children.&nbsp;
You will be an effective member of staff working closely with a multi-professional team that includes speech &amp; language, physio &amp; occupational therapists, as well as social care, children centre &amp; Family Solutions teams supporting children.

The role would suit an experienced and high performing individual who can exhibit the qualities identified in the job description and person specification for the role.

We need you to have a secure knowledge of child development, the Early Years Foundation Stage, excellent communication skills, ability to work in smaller group sizes with higher adult to child ratios, the interest to work within a multi-disciplinary team as well as thinking and responding in a fast paced environment.The successful candidates should be excited to work with children with a range of needs and be dedicated, passionate and committed to achieving the very highest standards of the quality within their teaching and learning. We want individuals who can see the possibilities for our exceptional children and have the energy and enthusiasm to inspire and motivate every child to reach their potential.You must have a minimum, full and relevant early years L3 qualification and a willingness to learn skills to work with children who have learning differences and disabilities.Successful applicants will be expected to take 20 days annual leave at fixed times when the centre is closed, typically 2 weeks in the summer, 1 week at Easter and 1 week at Christmas, and to work 35 hours per week, set shifts of 8:30 until 4pm, 5 days per week with a dedicated staff room where you can sit as a team.In return we will offer you a full training package, professional development opportunities that are embedded in reflective practice, experience of working with wider families, and other professional who are on site such as occupational, physio and speech and language therapists.
