We are looking for a highly motivated person with strong organisational and people skills to manage a busy school and provide a hospitality catering service in our school. Our total focus is on fresh, wholesome, modern, and exciting food for our pupils.
 As a team leader with motivational flair, you will have a 'hands-on' approach and be involved in food production, as well as having good organisational and people management skills to manage and develop the services across the whole school day. A commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, customer care, and hygiene is essential.
Ideally, you should have a minimum of 3 years management experience within a catering environment and hold HND, NEBSS, or a similar qualification in catering management.

We are looking to employ a flexible driver who are as passionate about our service as we. Community Meals drivers are more than a delivery person, they are in some instances the only contact our clients have with another person during their day. As part of the delivery service you will complete a welfare check, for example ensuring that the person is warm during winter months, or has sufficient drinks in warmer weather, reporting any concerns to the Business Support Team. We deliver our service for 363 days of the year, which includes weekends and Bank Holidays, pausing on Christmas Day and New Years Day. We currently have 2 kitchens, so you may drive from our Castlewood Kitchen based in Clevedon, or our Weston kitchen based in Worle Where a Council vehicle is used, to undertake vehicle safety checks and routines, reporting incidents as required in accordance with North Somerset operational policies.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>To ensure daily work instructions are acknowledged and both planning and preparations for operational deployment are undertaken.</li><li>To effectively deliver community meals services to our clients in accordance with a journey plan, timetable and/or a delivery manifest, in a timely manner and with a person focused approach.</li><li>To undertake client welfare checks at each visit in line with agreed protocols and instructions on the schedule/plan, reporting any incidents and communicating any variances in accordance with council policy.</li><li>Where a Council vehicle is used, to position, collect and return the vehicle from multi point locations.</li><li>To maintain a current, valid driving licence (minimum of a Category B) and submit this routinely for review.</li></ul>This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Community Meals Delivery Officer

About UsNorth Somerset Council’s Community Meals Service are looking for Cooks/Kitchen Assistants for casual hours to cover cook’s duties during periods of leave to reheat pre -prepared meals and make sandwiches to be delivered 7 days a week to vulnerable people. There is a need to cover across two kitchens for North Somerset Council, one in the South of North Somerset (Weston based and cover of surrounding villages) and the North of North Somerset (Clevedon based and cover of surrounding villages).The RoleExperience required within a kitchen environment particularly with cooking and freezer temperatures. Training will be provided by our on-site cooks in the use of the kitchen equipment. You must be willing to train in Environmental Health regulations required in a kitchen environment, including keeping daily recordings of temperatures and in stock control.Sandwiches should be freshly made each day for teas while waiting for ovens to heat. Food is then loaded into insulated boxes for the team of Community Meals drivers to take out for delivery. First deliveries start at 11.30. You will be supported by a Team Manager and the Community Meals Business Support Team.Our kitchens operate 7 days a week over 52 weeks except Christmas Day and New Years Day when alternative provision will be provided. The hours will be between 8am and 2pm weekdays, depending on the kitchen, and between 9am and 12pm at weekends.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Cooking of pre-prepared food delivered from manufacturers.</li><li>Preparation of ingredients for sandwiches, salads for evening meals.</li><li>Knowledge of temperatures and storage of food in fridges and freezers.</li><li>Must be experienced in moving around a kitchen as directed by Health and Safety requirements.</li><li>Able to multitask as meals must be prepared ready for drivers to deliver to service users by a specified time.</li><li>Keep a sanitised and orderly kitchen environment.</li><li>Ensure all food and other items are stored properly at correct temperature.</li><li>Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.</li></ul>This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
