Housing Services Directorate is looking to appoint an Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader to manage a team of six Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Officers responsible for offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 duties. Successful management of this service area will ensure we deliver a high quality, customer-focused approach to our applicants eligible for homelessness assistance and continuous improvement and efficiency in the service delivery. In addition, you will ensure officers complete S208, enforce offer of suitable accommodation, correctly undertake the discharge of duty and complete all other tasks relevant to their role.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader with a good working knowledge of managing a team responsible for offering accommodation under S188 and S193, Part 6 &amp; 7 of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002 and Localism Act 2011 and its application. You must have knowledge and understanding of the activities, functions and processes involved in offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 as well as issuing discharge of duty decisions.

What we’re looking for Reporting to the Director of Housing Strategy, the Head of Private Sector Licencing and Home Improvement will lead a service area that provides strategic direction for the Council’s housing improvement and assistance service and the property licensing and enforcement function. This is an area of the division with big ambition, as we have recently expanded our property licencing schemes and have seen an increase in applications from residents for support from our grants, specifically the Disabled Facilities Grant. Managing a service of up to 100 staff the post-holder will lead our ambitions to work proactively within the private rented sector to drive up standards and safety for Lewisham’s residents. With expertise in the legal framework of regulation and licensing, you’ll be at the forefront of operationalising our new licensing scheme, and will maximise their impact through innovative new approaches to engaging with our residents. You will also be responsible for utilising a home assistance grant of £2million a year to support our most vulnerable residents to live in safe and secure homes from which they can live independent lives. We’re looking for a strategic and inspirational leader, communicator and manager who can demonstrate strong experience of delivering an operational income-generating service, ideally with a background in commercial or regulatory and enforcement services as well as a strong background and experience in managing Disabled Facilities Grants services. We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Housing Options Officer to join our team, delivering frontline, customer focused service to residents in housing need.
Your responsibilities will include receiving and assessing housing applications, managing the Council’s Housing Register through the Hertsmere Homes Choice Based Lettings (CBL) scheme, and verifying shortlisted applications for nomination to housing associations and the private rented sector. You will handle enquiries from people approaching the Council for housing advice, providing initial support and where appropriate, referring clients to the Homelessness Prevention Team for ongoing casework. This is a varied and rewarding role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to helping residents access safe and suitable housing solutions.
The right candidate will have at least 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) and experience of working in a customer-facing role where you have provided clear advice both in person and in writing. You will bring strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, the ability to analyse and present information effectively, and a good general knowledge of housing issues such as allocations, homelessness, and housing advice. Excellent communication, IT proficiency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. A driving licence, access to a vehicle, and the ability to work occasionally outside of office hours are also required.
The post is offered on a permanent full time basis (36 hours per week).

The Land and Development team is within the Housing and Land Directorate. The Land and Development team supports GLA Land and Property Limited (GLAP), which is the Greater London Authority’s commercial subsidiary for property investment, development and assessment management. The team is responsible with the delivery of the GLAP portfolio of development on the Mayor’s land and joint venture interests, alongside entering into new opportunities to unlock development outcomes. &nbsp;
GLAP aims to deliver up to a total of 68,000 new homes on the Mayor’s land and joint venture interests, including homes delivered to date and looking ahead over the next 25 years.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Some of GLAP’s schemes include some of London’s largest regeneration projects, such as Royal Docks, Greenwich Peninsula and Barking Riverside. Sites are typically large-scale and mixed-use multi-phased development projects, working with our development partners collaboratively under development agreement delivery structures. While most sites are in contract with partners, others are in procurement, such as Royal Albert Dock. In addition to development land, GLAP holds a significant estate with investment properties, operational property and public realm.

<h2>About the role</h2>
This is a leadership role, ensuring that GLA Land and Property Limited (GLAP) is actively contributing to the delivery of Mayoral environmental sustainability and social value priorities and commitments. The role actively works across the GLA family delivery organisations, supporting collaboration and sharing of learning across the GLA group, with developers and to policy teams.
The Senior Sustainability Manager leads the implementation of GLAP’s Climate Action Strategy ensuring that it achieves its strategic goals and objectives. The role plays a strategic role in embedding sustainability requirements and outcomes in strategic development projects and estate management. The role leads on embedding climate risk management practices within GLAP ensuring that GLAP is resilient to the impacts of climate change.
<h2>What your day will look like</h2>

<li>Lead, working across GLAP, implementation, delivery and reporting against GLAP’s climate action strategy including capturing and monitoring GLAP’s emissions through the inventory model.</li>

We're looking for an Executive Support Officer to work with the Director of Local London and the Local London team in managing executive functions and supporting professional working with senior officers from our nine member boroughs.
What You’ll Be Doing:

<li>Providing high level, professional executive assistance and administrative support to the Director, including the monitoring of e-mails, enquiries, and correspondence to ensure they are dealt with appropriately, managing and maintaining their calendar, arranging appointments, meetings and ensuring they have the correct information and papers for their meetings.</li>
<li>Providing daily management and co-ordination of the activities of the Director of Local London responding to continual changes in priorities and political sensitivities.</li>
<li>Scheduling and organising both the Local London Growth Board and the Local London Skills and Employment Board, including management of its membership list, minuting of meetings and management of action log. To support the Senior Policy Manager and Senior Policy Officers in the production, management and circulation of papers to timetable.</li>
<li>Supporting the Director and senior managers with Local London’s responsibilities under Redbridge Council’s governance arrangements and liaison with Chairs and members of Local London advisory boards.</li>
<li>To be Local London’s lead on corporate responsibilities including health and safety, information governance and corporate resilience, managing Local London’s response on these and attending relevant Boards and Committees as required.</li>
<li>To monitor, encourage and support staff to ensure they complete mandatory training, and they are aware of opportunities to receive relevant and appropriate learning and development to aid career development.</li>
