Successful applicants will be required to work on Mondays and Fridays only, with occasional flexibility to work additional days if operational needs require. This is a 0‑hour role, with successful applicants starting the role as soon as possible.


Role Purpose

As a vital part of our team, you will be required to assist the Beach Lodges Manager to uphold impeccable cleanliness standards across all Beach Lodges and associated areas. Your dedication will ensure every guest, along with members of the public, enjoys a wonderful experience.


Main Responsibilities

As a valued member of our housekeeping team, you will need to be able to work as part of a team and separately as required using your own initiative. You will work proactively to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed promptly and efficiently, adhering to strict timeframes.

  • To maintain the Beach Lodges and associated areas by cleaning them to an excellent standard as specified by the Beach Lodges Manager. Cleaning duties include, but are not limited to, bathrooms, kitchens, windows, bed changes, exterior etc.
  • To maintain our sister site Steamer Point Lodge by cleaning to an excellent standard as specified by the Beach Lodges Manager. Cleaning duties include, but are not limited to, bathrooms, kitchens, windows, bed changes, exterior etc.
  • To ensure all cleaning duties are completed within a strict timeframe (guest changeovers) by prioritising and managing duties and time
  • To ensure the safe use and storage of all cleaning materials and chemicals by adhering to the COSHH regulations and practices
  • To ensure that all cleaning materials and equipment are always adequately stocked by reporting stock requests to the Beach Lodges Manager
  • To work within a team by assisting and engaging with all other members of staff
  • To assist with reporting any defects to the Beach Lodges Manager
  • To comply with all Health and Safety procedures and policies as set by BCP Council
  • To undertake any other duties from time to time commensurate with the grade and responsibilities of the post, including working outdoors

  • Previous experience of high-quality cleaning services in a domestic or hotel environment
  • Previous experience of working with the public
  • Previous experience of working in a hospitality environment Personal Qualities & Attributes
  • Excellent cleaning skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise essential tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability, honesty and integrity
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work well within a team and individually
  • Must be able to travel to and from work, using public or other forms of transport where they are viable, or by holding a valid UK driving license with access to own or pool car
  • To work 2 out of 7 days, Mondays and Fridays are the primary working days (guest changeover).
  • Work may be required during major events (e.g., Bournemouth Air Festival).
  • Flexible working may be necessary, including weekends and bank holidays, in line with operational needs.
  • Manual handling will apply
  • Mandatory online training
