You might have experience from a Local Authority background, from a school, college, or Early Years background, you might come from a Health Service or third sector background too. About the Role
Due to internal promotion, we have an opportunity for two full time Senior Planning Officers to join our Development Management team on a permanent contract. One post within the householders/others team and the other within the Large Majors team.
‘Development Management’ is the ‘coal face’ of the planning service, part of the Regeneration and Place Directorate.&nbsp; There are three teams, ‘large majors’, ‘major/minors’ and ‘householders/others’ teams handling planning applications, appeals and associated work.&nbsp; The wider team incorporates an Enforcement, Heritage, Landscape and Trees, together with technical support.&nbsp; There are close working relationships with Building Control, Planning Policy, s106/CIL team, Economic Development &amp; Legal Services. The validation of planning applications is undertaken by Mid Kent Planning Services which is shared with Swale Borough Council.
As a Senior Planning Officer in the householders/others team, you will be determining a wide range of applications, including householder, adverts, change of use, breaches, telecommunications, discharge of conditions and Certificates of Lawfulness in an area experiencing one of the highest number of applications in Kent.&nbsp; This will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders, applicants, agents, Councillors and others involved in the planning process.&nbsp; Attendance at planning committee would be required, when necessary, the committee meets once a month and meetings take place in the evening, at Maidstone’s Town Hall.&nbsp; You will be in a position to offer supervisory support and training to junior members of staff with some signing off powers to support the Team Leader as required and depending on experience.&nbsp;
As a Senior Planning Officer in the large major’s team, you will be determining a wide range of applications, these will include schemes for larger than 50 dwellings, major commercial schemes, corporate projects and submission of details, legal agreements and other associated applications.&nbsp; There will the opportunity to be involved and shadow principal planning officers in the local plan allocated garden settlement schemes and large major schemes.&nbsp; This will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders, applicants, agents, Councillors and others involved in the planning process.&nbsp; Attendance at planning committee would be required, when necessary, the committee meets once a month and meetings take place in the evening, at Maidstone’s Town Hall.&nbsp;
These roles are being offered on a 37 hour week, with office based working at least two days per week with flexible home working on an agreed basis as part of the Council’s approach to offer employees a range of flexible working opportunities.

About You:

Hackney’s Housing Department is changing. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic Social Work Lead to be based within our new Tenancy Sustainment &amp; Community Cohesion Service and to work across Housing and Adult Social Care via a matrix management arrangement.
A recent service review highlighted the need to improve our ways of working with residents who have a range of health and social care needs and where those needs are jeopardising the sustainability of their tenancy.
We have strengthened the existing Tenancy Sustainment function to include additional specialist staff, and we see the Social Work lead as a crucial member of the new team.
Alongside the wider Tenancy Services team, you will undertake a dual role:

You will be involved in a range of service development projects as well as undertaking casework. This may include delivering training, developing new policies and procedures and other caseworking tools to improve how we support more vulnerable residents to live well and thrive. You will hold a UK state registered degree in Social Work, DipSW or CQSW and be registered with Social Work England for a minimum of 3 years. You will demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act / DOLs and be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of safeguarding as it pertains to both children and adults. You will also have a good working knowledge of the social housing sector and legislation including housing supply and demand issue

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Delivery Team Leader to lead the Infrastructure Delivery Team and play a critical role in securing funding from new development; and ensuring that new developments implement improvements to infrastructure and services that are agreed as part of planning permissions.​
About the role
In this role, your main responsibility will be to lead and manage the Infrastructure Delivery Team responsible for all CIL and Section 106 processes. This includes the administration and collection of CIL and Section 106 payments for the Borough; and the post-collection allocation and spending of funds, including the ongoing development of a Neighbourhood CIL spend process.
The postholder will lead on the development and implementation of processes for the collection of the forthcoming Building Safety Levy; and will be involved with the development of the new Bromley Local Plan, particularly with regard to evidence base development related to infrastructure.
The Team Leader post will have line management responsibility for two Infrastructure Delivery Officers and will report directly to the Head of Planning Policy and Strategy. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in the Planning Policy and Design &amp; Conservation teams which also sit within the Planning Policy and Strategy service; and will also work with other departments across the Council including Development Management, Finance, Housing and Regeneration.
The successful candidate will represent the Planning Policy and Strategy service at various internal and external meetings, including Council committee meetings; and will also be required to deputise for the Head of Planning Policy and Strategy in relation to infrastructure delivery matters, as and when required.
What we offer
This is an MG6 grade role, with a salary range of £47,536 to £71,302. It is a full-time, permanent role, based on a 36-hour working week. The role is based at Bromley Civic Centre (opposite Bromley South station). We offer hybrid working arrangements, with the current expectation that the post holder will be in the office for at least 2 days per week.

Location:&nbsp;South London Coroner’s Court, Davis House, Robert Street, Croydon, CR0 1QQ. &nbsp;This role is predominantly Court-based with some opportunities for home working.
About the role

The role is responsible for leading the team of administrative staff who support the Coroners in conducting inquests into deaths that are violent, unnatural, sudden, or of unknown cause.&nbsp; The role requires good understanding of the coronial system and the relevant legislation, as well as strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.&nbsp; It is also a hands-on role to make sure that the team’s work is carried out efficiently, sensitively, and in accordance with the law.&nbsp;
You will work closely with different people, like families who have lost someone, funeral directors, lawyers, police, and health professionals and provide support and guidance to bereaved relatives and friends. About you
Succeeding in this position calls for great communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.&nbsp; Being able to quickly learn the workings of a Coroner’s Court and the relevant legislation and rules is key.&nbsp; You will handle pressure with ease and tackle challenging situations with tact and empathy.&nbsp; Previous experience in a Court setting is not essential, but you will have succeeded in similar roles leading teams within a statutory framework, setting the stage for your success in this dynamic and rewarding position.&nbsp;

About the Role
As Project Manager, you will lead the Families First Partnership Programme, championing its change and driving delivery and impact throughout the borough. You’ll manage a varied portfolio of projects within the People Directorate, ensuring alignment with the latest reforms in children’s social care and the council’s strategic direction, including the Corporate Plan&nbsp;and our Integrated Starting Well Plan 2024–2027.&nbsp;
Working closely with senior managers, staff, council departments, and local residents, you’ll ensure robust governance, risk management, and timely, on budget delivery. Most importantly, you’ll coproduce services with key stakeholders, putting the voices of children, young people, and families at the heart of design, transformation, and delivery.
