Hove Park School and Sixth Form is an ambitious and innovative place to work. We firmly believe that all young people deserve the opportunity to succeed, regardless of any Special Educational Need or Disability (SEND). Ofsted visited us in December 2022 and we strongly held our status as a ‘Good’ school. Our student body is multi-lingual and drawn from a diverse community across Brighton and Hove.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed professional to join our SEND team and contribute to the continued development of our Cullum Centre (Resourced Provision for students with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition).
As an experienced teacher in this area, you will possess a commitment for inclusion, a passion for overcoming barriers to learning and a belief that through working with children and young people we can maximise their potential to lead happy, healthy and fulfilled lives. You will show initiative, good communication skills and an aptitude for supporting and teaching students with SEND.
A Specialist Teacher of SEND will support the academic and personal development of children and young people through identifying and addressing their needs. They will understand that ASC is a spectrum, meaning that the needs of individuals are also on a spectrum and will not be identical.
Deadline for applications: 30th May 2025
Interview Date: w/c 2nd June 2025
We reserve the right to interview and appoint before the closing date.
Hove Park School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
