Fixed term until July 2027.
We’re looking for a well-organised and motivated Administration Officer to help us deliver an effective HR and business support service.
You’ll play a vital role in supporting the HR team and the wider Business Support team, including recruitment administration, updating records and systems, responding to queries, and helping to arrange meetings.
<h3>What you’ll be doing:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Supporting the recruitment process, from advertising roles to arranging interviews and preparing paperwork.</li>
<li>Maintaining HR records and producing standard letters and reports to help manage sickness absence.</li>
<li>Responding to day-to-day helpdesk queries and signposting more complex issues.</li>
<li>Keeping our HR database and intranet pages up to date and accurate.</li>
<li>Carrying out general administrative tasks.</li>
<li>Contributing to improvements in how we work and deliver services.</li>
</ul>
<h3>What we’re looking for:</h3>
<ul>
<li>A good standard of English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent).</li>
<li>Strong IT skills, particularly in using databases and spreadsheets.</li>
<li>Previous experience providing administrative support in an office environment.</li>
<li>Attention to detail and accuracy.</li>
<li>Good communication skills – written and verbal.</li>
<li>A flexible and proactive team player, able to manage competing priorities.</li>
<li>Willingness to occasionally work evenings to support meetings.</li>
</ul>
It would be great if you also have some experience in HR or knowledge of working in local government – but this isn’t essential.
This is an office based role.&nbsp;
