If you’re someone who enjoys helping people and keeping things running smoothly, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We’re looking for a Support Assistant who can bring energy, reliability and a positive attitude to a busy, customer-facing environment. You’ll be part of a supportive team that works across multiple sites, ensuring our services are clean, welcoming and well-maintained for everyone who uses them.
Your day-to-day work will be varied. You’ll be answering customer enquiries, providing helpful and friendly service, and supporting with general clerical tasks like data entry and handling bookings. You’ll also get involved in basic repairs, cleaning, and making sure spaces are safe and well presented. There may be times when you’ll need to move items or stand for longer periods, and we’ll provide any equipment you need to do that safely. The role involves working to a rota, which includes evenings and weekends, and occasionally supporting other sites depending on business needs.
Please note this role does not attract sponsorship.
About you
You’re someone who takes pride in doing a job well and enjoys being part of a busy team. You bring a friendly, helpful attitude to every interaction, and you’re able to speak to a wide range of people with patience and positivity. You’ve got some experience in a customer-facing role and understand the importance of good communication, both in speaking and listening. You’re confident using tills and handling money, and you’re comfortable following financial procedures.
You’re happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved in practical tasks, whether that’s light repairs, cleaning duties, or helping move things around safely. You can use your initiative when working independently but also know how to work effectively as part of a team. Your ICT skills are solid – you can manage emails, navigate online systems, and you’re familiar with Microsoft packages.
Importantly, you care about creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels respected. You understand how to recognise and respond to discrimination, and you know that equality and respect aren’t just policies – they’re part of everyday working life.
This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English
