As part of the council’s Capital Asset Strategy, you will be responsible for identifying and managing disposals to provide capital receipts to the value of £20 million to support the council’s financial position. </span></p><p><span>In cooperation with our external agents and other council departments, you will be responsible for achieving best value of our property assets whilst also identifying development opportunities and improving performance of our property portfolio.   </span></p><p><span>In addition, the role will provide strategic property advice across all council services, assisting with delivery plans that require proactive asset management of operational buildings.</span></p><p><span>The role offers a genuinely varied, interesting and diverse workload, working with colleagues and consultants to deliver effective management of the portfolios, to meet the aims of the Corporate Asset Plan and support the local economy and community.</span></p><p><span>As the successful candidate you will have experience of communicating and influencing at a senior level to manage strategically and creatively the council’s extensive commercial property portfolio, to ensure the council’s land and building assets are delivering the best outcomes for the city and its residents.</span></p><p><span>There's a lot to do, and we need someone who is passionate about making change happen, is comfortable working in a complex political environment, has a proven track record of property disposals and strategic property management.  You will have a RICS membership and an enthusiasm for the role of property in fulfilling wider strategic aims. </span></p><p><span>If this is you then we would love to hear from you.
