Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.<br> </div>\n<div>The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.<br> </div>\n<div>The Post</div>\n<p>The commissioning, contracting and market management, Residential and Nursing team work with a number of care homes across different user groups. </p>\n<p>We are looking for a Market Oversight Manager to join us in the team. You are required to have good knowledge and experience of working with adults within care homes, collaborative commissioning and working with potential providers to consider innovative ways that services can be delivered. Understanding the Definition of Market Shaping, Commissioning Procurement and Contracting.</p>\n<p>The role will require you to engage with stakeholders that reflect the range and diversity of communities and the range of needs experienced by people in its area.</p>\n<p>You will work with partners to design, implement and manage projects that will improve the range of services available whilst ensuring that services developed, commissioned or procured are cost effective, efficient and designed to deliver good outcomes.</p>\n<p>You will join a busy large, lively and dynamic team so the ability to work as part of a team and support other colleagues is required. The team has a varied function overall and the ability to think differently, creatively and have a “can do” attitude to work is desirable</p>\n<div>The Person</div>\n<p>You will be educated to degree level and have thorough knowledge of the principles of, and cycle of commissioning.</p>\n<p>You are required to have an excellent understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to apply them effectively and a sound understanding of the policy and operating environment of health, social care, and regulated services.</p>\n<p>As the role involves line management of staff so you will be required to have significant supervisory/line management experience and be a good communicator and information gatherer.
