Teaching Assistant: Scale Grade: 4a £13.69 - £13.91 per hour (31.25 hours a week) Term Time Only 8.30am – 3.15pm

Bevendean Primary School & Nursery has an exceptional staff team of Class Teachers, Nursery to Year 6; including a facility for deaf children. We have a team of Learning Mentors, Teaching Assistants and Higher-Level Teaching Assistants supporting in all classes.
Pupils are taught a broad and rich curriculum that is enhanced with as many trips, visits and experiences as possible. We believe it is vital that pupils get to see and do as much as possible. Not only does this create aspiration but we know that if you do something, you can talk about it and you can therefore write about it.
Our recent OFSTED inspection (November 2024) graded us as Outstanding or Good in all areas. They found that:
- Pupils thrive at this inclusive school.
- Pupils’ behaviour is impeccable.
- Staff have high expectations of all pupils, and pupils respond well to these.
- Pupils consistently try their best, achieving highly across the curriculum.
- Reading is prioritised for every year group. Across the curriculum, pupils are provided with a rich repertoire of books and authors reflecting their own diverse backgrounds.
- The quality of education in the early years enables all children to make gains in their learning.
- Pupils with SEND, including those in the specially resourced provision for deaf pupils, are well supported. Leaders make sure that pupils’ needs are swiftly and accurately identified.
