The Venue Services Supervisor, along with colleagues will be responsible for the setup and breakdown of sets, staging and seating for events at the Brighton Centre by leading Venues Services personnel and any casual employees working within the venues section during specific shifts whereby the team will be working overnight, at heights, operating plant equipment which requires specialist, recognised training and certification.

<h2>About the role</h2>Brighton Centre - Venue Service Supervisor<ul>
<li>To take independent and sole responsibility for operational requirements for the&nbsp;buildings event preparations to the satisfaction of venue hirers and users during the period of preparation.</li>
<li>To determine and implement solutions independent of Event Managers if problems or resources are encountered which could jeopardise the successful management of an event, conference or entertainment concert.</li>
<li>To lead and be the decision maker responsible for Venue Services Assistants and any casual staff engaged for the set up or running of an event to ensure quality control of their work as required, particular during extended shifts and overnight working shifts by being focused, experienced and aware of the importance of their role in delivering events worth £100ks of income to the venue and city.</li>
<li>To interpret event plans and independently come up with solutions if for whatever reason, plans cannot be realised. To be creative and make adjustments and to take sole responsibility for delivering the venue in an 'event ready' state for the next event or tenancy, without immediate access to a manager for approval.</li>

About the Role:
As Senior Facilities Manager for schools you will support and advise all maintained schools with updated compliance and legislation.
You will lead and manage a portfolio of school sites, supporting the school business managers with all aspects of the school’s property upkeep, care, maintenance and procurement within the sites, along with contractor management, contract management, compliance, security, health and safety, construction design and management regulation (CDM) and facilities Management (Hard FM) all in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.

<li>Key Holder responsibilities</li>
<li>Carrying out maintenance and minor repairs within the school,&nbsp;including painting and decorating.</li>
<li>To comply with all Health &amp; Safety aspects and follow procedures&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ensure premises are cleaned to a high standard and the grounds&nbsp;are neat and tidy.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills with pupils, families, staff and contractors.</li>
</ul>What is the job role? The Ideal candidate will:<ul>
<li>Be willing to complete a DBS (enhanced criminal records check)</li>
<li>Have a friendly approachable character and a good sense of humour.</li>
<li>Able to respect confidentiality</li>
<li>Have excellent time-management skills.</li>
<li>Be physically fit and willing able to lift/move equipment</li>
<li>Have experience and knowledge in carrying out minor repairs.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Be willing to be flexible and do additional hours as required to include driving the school minibus</li>
<li>Be over the age of 21 and hold a full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years</li>
<li>Be willing to do minibus training</li>
