    About the role

This is a 12‑month fixed‑term role to cover maternity leave, offering an excellent opportunity to step into a dynamic leadership position within our Wellbeing Service.

We are now looking for an inspiring, forward‑thinking, and highly skilled Team Leader to play a key role in our Wellbeing Service within Adult Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside the Wellbeing Service Manager to shape and deliver a service that truly makes a difference.

Our Prevention and Wellbeing Service supports residents across West Northants through community‑based and locality‑driven hubs. The team works both directly with adults and older people, and indirectly by partnering with local organisations, professionals, and the vibrant voluntary and community sector. Together, we aim to strengthen communities, enhance wellbeing, and improve quality of life for those who need it most.

There has never been a more exciting time to join West Northamptonshire. As we shift toward a place‑based model of working, we’re bringing services closer to communities and strengthening our partnerships across Adult Social Care, the Northamptonshire Integrated Care System, and voluntary sector organisations. This role will be instrumental in shaping this new way of working, driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and helping us deliver outstanding preventative support across the area.

    Additional information

The successful candidate will be an inspiring and engaging leader, able to motivate and influence the Prevention and Wellbeing frontline team, including Wellbeing Service Coordinators, and Advisors, to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred support tailored to the needs of individuals and communities.

You will bring substantial experience in designing, negotiating, and delivering effective partnerships, projects, and programmes, with the confidence to work collaboratively across a wide range of stakeholders.

As an experienced negotiator and networker with a proven track record in leading teams, you will provide clear direction, communicate effectively, and delegate appropriately to ensure service targets, milestones, and outcomes are consistently achieved.
