Waste and Recycling Improvement Officer
37 Hours per week,Permanent contract (Secondment opportunity available)
£35,412-£39,152 per annum
We are a small team who, with our contractors, look after a variety of front line services: waste, recycling, street cleansing, parks, open spaces, public toilets and environmental crime.
We are looking for a proactive and personable individual with a can-do attitude to join our team who can lead and co-ordinate programmes and campaigns related to household waste prevention and recycling efficiency improvements and effect behavioural change.
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of working within the waste services sector.
- Good understanding of current waste practices, legislation and behaviour change principles.
- Significant experience of development and implementation of behaviour change/ promotional/ community engagement campaigns, targeting/working with residents/voluntary & community sector
- Strong written and content creation skills across multiple platforms.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with individuals and community groups.
