About the role
Waste Services plays a pivotal role in ensuring that communities are not only clean and safe but also moving towards a more sustainable future. As a single - tier authority, we can take a holistic approach to delivering services efficiently and consistently across the whole area for the benefit of our communities.
Management of waste and associated resources is a statutory function, and the service is highly regarding by North Northamptonshire residents providing Waste Collection and Cleansing, Household Waste Recycling Centres and managing a portfolio of contracts, performance management systems and service level agreements related to the environment and the treatment and disposal of collected materials. These are high risk, demand led services which interface with member of the public.
What will you be doing?
The Operations Support Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the daily activities. This position involves coordinating and and supporting various operational tasks, providing logistical support for projects, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative assistance to operations and strategic management activities relating to the waste service.
Assisting the planning and execution of activities relating to waste service plan and projects support delivery of the service plan deliverables.
Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, agenda preparation, distribution of meeting notes, preparing reports and handling correspondence on behalf of the service.
Assisting the research required to inform the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures, or the development of projects.
Handle administrative tasks to support the waste management team in various projects and initiatives.
Provide support in resolving project relating issues and challenges
To assist in the collation of data in relation to performance information for the services.
