Waste Collection Round Leader
Salary: £33,531 - £38,052 per annum
Grade: D
Permanent Contract
37 Hours per Week
We are looking for a reliable, qualified and self-motivated HGV Driver to join the Waste & Recycling Team as a Round Leader.
As a Round Leader of a small crew, you will have good communication and customer service skills to enable you to engage with colleagues and members of the public in a polite and professional manner.
You must be a team player, quick learner and able to carry out a range of duties including: Use of the vehicles in cab devices, moving, handling and loading of refuse , recycling, garden and food waste. You will be expected to to work with minimum supervision.
The work involves driving, operating machinery and heavy manual labour therefore you must be physically fit and mobile.
The role will involve safely driving HGV’s and other Council vehicles. It is essential you hold a valid HGV Driving License Class-C and a valid Drivers Qualification Card (DQC) and have the skills required to manoeuvre large vehicles in restricted and difficult areas.
Experience of rear-steer vehicles would be advantageous. A willingness to train and use a wide variety of vehicles and equipment is essential
DBS: A DBS is not required for this post.
