We’re on a mission to make life better, healthier, and fairer for everyone across our region — and transport is at the heart of it. As our new Transport Programme Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of major transport projects that shape how people connect, travel, and thrive.

From the A10 and A47 upgrades to Cambridge South station and Ely area rail improvements, this is your chance to take the wheel on projects that will define our region’s growth and sustainability.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and oversee an ambitious transport and infrastructure programme from concept to completion.
  • Ensure delivery of key milestones — on time, within budget, and with impact.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and governance across multiple high-profile projects.
  • Engage confidently with political leaders, stakeholders, and delivery partners.
  • Represent the Combined Authority at local, regional, and national levels.
What we're looking for

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree-level education (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional qualifications like IEng, CEng, TPP, or APM (or working towards).
  • Proven experience managing large, complex transport projects — ideally across both road and rail.
  • Excellent organisational, stakeholder, and programme assurance skills.
  • A forward-thinking, politically aware mindset and the ability to deliver under pressure.
